Yeah, I'm new here, too. Long time reader, loving your podcasts, finally got the time to register. "Finally got the time" because I'm too busy not playing (and not beating) all this new great (sarcasm) games, telling myself that this so called videogame journalism is fucking ridiculous, beeing self-absorbed about why I don't like this and that and saying that the chocolate I ate a few ago was so much better than Final Fantasy XIII. So, yeah. I hope I fit in. At least a little bit.
Oh gawd, I totally forgot something to mention: God Hand. Period. |

Hello,
You people are pretty Goddamned alright. I even feel like that y'all so alright that I may be so overawed that I up, and just completely fail to ever post anything meaningful. So do not be surprised if I fall victim to the Interweb Agoraphobia.
About myself would be that I lived on an island six miles off the coast of Georgia for the entirety of my childhood. Moved to the wonderful state of Nebraska recently, and am awaiting my Collegiate career or Military enlistment with a grand ol Tumescence.
Yeah, the Video Game thing. We are in agreement about most of it, but really the "there's no Citizen Kane Videogame, but here's a game that could've been made by F.W. Murnau", kinda shit can border on the pedantic.
I like you guys so don't turn on me! |

Hey guize and gurls,
I feel I should introduce myself because I like it here. I'm a college student from Canada, learning Chinese because it's the future. I also like to draw, but I'm not very good at it because I get bored and frustrated when I make mistakes. I'm really good at writing though it may not seem like it when I write online... I guess I write too quickly for that to be apparent. I'm also good at giving short presentations and my friends tell me I have a great voice and put in funny jokes.
Games wise, I love 2D platformers and also 3D if I'm bored. I like Sonic and Castlevania games especially, but mainly due to the music and sometimes the gameplay. I think for 2D games, the story is not important but for 3D it seem stupid if it doesn't have a good story. Why? I also love to play Puyopop Fever DS but I can't beat my girlfriend because she plays it too much. I like Disgaea a lot too, because of the adorable drawings and the funny story.
These days though, ive noticed that games are getting worse and worse. Sometimes they're too hard and take too long to enjoy. And when they're short, they're also easy for some reason. Most of them they have too many movies. Then I discovered that there are games with very few movies called indie games (I think they're not made for money or by a few people or something). They're also more fun and have good stories, sometimes long like cave story and very hard like Canabalt but short. I also like this game called imperishable night with girls in it, but it's too hard and gives me headaches so I watch my friends play it instead. I think sometimes watching games is more fun than playing them, but I don't know why. Anyway, I want to find more of these games and play them all because they're more fun than normal games. I will probably ask you dudes which one you like best so I can try them as well. It would be best if they're small because my internet is slow.
I found this site when a friend of mine sent me this a few days ago, telling me that I'm an artfag: http://dmxworld.com/commentary/are_u_an_artfag/. He also told me I have a short attention span, but I don't think so because it takes a lot of concentration to study other languages. I think I should stop talking to him because he's really mean and so is the guy who made it. Kitegirder or something? LOL! Anyway I don't understand what he's talking about in his articles, which are too long and make me bored, hahaha. Some of them are smart and funny so I really like one of them as well. Maybe he's ok, but he's really mean and my friend keeps making fun of me because of him. What is wrong with liking art and drawing? Imagine if there was no art in games, we'd all be playing that text adventure game Dork (?) or something!
Sorry if I made mistakes and wrote too much but I'm in a hurry and I have to go soon. I can't wait to talk to you all, you seem so knowledgable! <3 u bye. |

Well, hi.
I'm lantisearth. Really nice guy (lol) from Brasil.
After a long time reading the select forums, I've decided to post something.
Love a good game discussion, horizontal shooters and 16 bit platformers.
Kinda writer, kinda gamer, kinda poet, kinda composer, kinda oldschooler, kinda singer, kinda husband, kinda forum user, kinda software developer, kinda lots of things I don't remember.
Think this is it... for now. _________________ sory, bad engrish... |

HELLO THERE.
My name is Kyle, I'm from Glasgow. I'm an avid post punk, shoegaze, post rock, indie, hip hop, electronic and sludge metal fan. I plan on going to Glasgow School of Art when I finish my Highers as I want to do art and such.
I play guitar/keyboard/sing in a newly formed post punk band and am an aspiring indie game creator, I'm able to do everything apart from the programming which makes me useless really. However, I plan to learn Python or something over the summer.
My favourite games of all time are Demon's Souls, Half Life 2, Timesplitters, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Spleunky and Cave Story. _________________ psn: Cryptomensia |

Hey guys, I'm the good doctor. I've been lurking for a while but I haven't really felt confident posting yet. So here I am!
I like games, obviously. From RPGs to little delights like Canabalt, I'm pretty much open to anything that isn't a bland WWII shooter game. I'd say I'm a pretty deep gamer, sometimes I even buy soundtracks and artbooks pertaining to games I like. I like being immersed in a world where I can enjoy the people, places, emotions, sights, sounds, and deeper messages when I play a game.
Not only do I play games, I like to write about them. I've written some reviews for some of my favorite games, and I hope to be a gaming journalist someday.
It's good to be here! |

yo uh
So I lurked around for a few weeks, read a bunch of threads and even peeped the 80+ pages of the Vanity Photo thread. I liked what I saw. Or at least I didn't really feel indifferent about it.
I'm a young person of nondescript features from Helsinki, Finland. I work at a mom & pop video game store, until I can figure out something better to do. Any day now.
I like videogames, I guess. It's difficult to say really since I feel so indifferent about almost every one except Super Street Fighter IV and I suck at it. I'm not fanatic about that one either but it's fun. Occasionally.
So yeah.
It has also been like 5+ years since I posted on a forum, so uhhh let's not let that bother us. _________________ hey man |
