When will they learn that scanning cars (jesus, LIKE THERE'S NOTHING BETTER TO DO or what!) isn't the point of making a game?
I like how those scanned car meshes seems to remain in the same place, with only texture changes and vertex shaders doing the "damage". I mean, I bet some cars have parts that will actually break or so, but this seems to be the generic behavior. _________________
Not to rain on anybody's parade, but provably they had to add the new anti-piracy measures to the gold. That requires a new encryption key and hence a new build of the game, and that means a new QA process, etc. _________________

If that were the case I'm sure they would have just said that. Their response was really ambiguous and it seemed like the dev team was even trying to blame it all on their higher bosses.

if you have the chance to grab the demo of Split/Second, do that. It depends on whether you want (kind of) Michael Bay-esque racing, but this game nailed that feeling. It has rubber-banding, yeah, but that also applies for you catching up to the enemy-AI.
Also grab the demo for Blur. I dislike the default camera on the game (and the track length, strangely), but it's essentially a better racing game as far as the genre of throwing things at enemies goes. _________________
