It's nice looking, sure, but it's Final Fantasy 1+2! If they'd redraw FF4/FF5 I'd be on it like flies on a decomposing body, but as such - meh.

Yeah, I was really impressed by those screen shots as well. I never, ever plan on buying it though, since I can't even make it through normal RPGs anymore.

Seconded. Final Fantasy XII finished what Insert Credit and Select Button started--namely, that I can't stand to play traditional console RPGs if they don't have a gigantic nostalgia factor to compensate for all the hoop-jumping.

I only feel nostalgia for Final Fantasy VI and later games.

The artwork doesn't mesh well enough with the backgrounds. It looks like a bad RPG Maker game.

I vote no.

Now if only you and 70 of your clones were on the Square-Enix board of directors.

I swear one guy with common sense could direct all their money toward an actual videogame.

Fuckin' Squeenix, man.

Well, do they have any talent left anymore? "Directing all their money toward an actual videogame" left us with the Kingdom Hearts series. I vote directing all their money towards a new industry so they can leave us alone.

Project: Sylph is (supposedly) good, as well as Code Age Commanders was. It's not like Squenix has a SEGA/shit-output these days, it's just that their games are ignored if they haven't the words "FINAL FANTASY"

I wonder if he knew that there would be an RPG that has the same effect as the Hitchhikers guide ...
