|
|
So the admin of my anime club has tasked me with coming up with SIXTY videogame trivia questions by Saturday at 1, for a trivia contest our club is hosting at the anime/scifi/gaming convention this weekend.
I know a lot of stupid-obscure stuff, but I'm having a hard time coming up with stuff that I think these people might know.
Coming up with a ton of stuff that they DEFINITELY won't know would be easy enough, but I have a feeling that won't go over well.
I am here on my knees, guys. I need help.
Here's a sample of the types of questions I figure are on par for this audience
**************************
Q: What is the name of the legendary sword in Chrono Trigger?
A: Masamune
Q: Who is the final boss of Super Mario Bros. 2?
A: Wart
Q: What is the name of the doctor responsible for cloning Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7?
A: Hojo
Q: In what year did the Nintendo Entertainment System debut in the United States?
A: 1985
Q: What is the name of Mega Man's "sister"?
A: Roll
Q: How many different pieces are there in Tetris?
A: Seven
Et cetera, et cetera. Any help would be greatly appreciated! _________________

I guess I'll be actually helpful? Somewhat?
Q. How many temples were in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link?
A. Seven.
Q. Which world in Super Mario Bros. 3 sent Mario into the sky?
A. World Five.
Q. In total, how many robot masters did Mega Man fight in his NES adventures? (main games, regular robot masters)
A. 46.
Q. How many Belmonts does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A. ...err, scratch that one.
EDIT: Actually, I reread the first post, and noticed it said this weekend. Hmm, that would mean I saw this topic too late? *shrug* I only just found out you guys moved over here from Insert Credit, really! |

Better late then never...
In the original Legend of Zelda, who dislikes smoke?
Almost every Final Fantasy game features two characters near the beginning named after characters in Star Wars. What are their names?
Finding the developer's name in the Atari 2600 game Adventure is widely considered to be the first major video game easter egg. What was his name?
What was the name of the damsel in distress in Donkey Kong?
What was the password to meet the prostitute in the first Leisure Suit Larry?
What tune played when you spelled "EXTRA" in Mr. Do?
The "Konami code" enables cheats in numerous Konami video games. What happens when you enter it in Gradius II: Life Force?
That's all I've got at the moment. Sorry I didn't think of any of these until this weekend. I left off the answers because everyone here on SB already knows them. :)X
EDIT: Also, I think the one about the sword in ChronoTrigger is too obscure. _________________

Uhh but yours are much more obscure. Actually I only know the Final Fantasy one (... also, "almost every" is BS, it's actually less than half of them. Look it up.). I know I should know the Zelda, Donkey Kong and Leisure Suit Larry ones, since I've beat those games, but damned if I can remember those useless details. |

Hey it's not easy coming up with these! You should've asked more than a single day in advance.
Actually I myself hosted a trivia contest several years ago, which included videogame questions. But I wasn't immediately able to find where I had put them. It wasn't a big success, anyway. Everyone complained the questions were too hard :[. |

OK, thanks. Maybe you can change the "almost every" to a number for added accuracy. _________________
