"IGN Wii: There is word that you're planning to work with Hideo Kojima on a game for Wii known only as 'Project S.' Is this true?

Suda: I am sorry, but I can't make any comments on this."

Have you guys heard anything more about this? What could these rascals be up to?

This sounds like a good campaign platform.

I believe between various interviews, including a Kojima podcasts, it has been confirmed that Suda is meeting with Kojima regarding something called Project S, and that Project S is a wii game. Any connection to Snatcher is pure speculation.

This comment blew from the interview blew my mind-and not in a good way:

"Suda: I think that it is probably best to forget and abandon the existing game design know-how once you develop for Wii. I feel that Wii enables developers to create new types and styles of games. I'll do my best and create No More Heroes as a standard violence game."

I was surprised by many things in this interview, even though a number of questions are repeated from the last time IGN interviewed him a few months ago.

I also found this amusing:

"『NO MORE HEROES』presents
HOPPER'S vol.2 “SNAKE vs. ZOMBIE”"

(There's english if you scroll down.)

I think what he's trying to say here is that he's trying to break the videogame mold away from genres. For instance, when someone is making a movie they (hopefully) say to themselves "I want this scene to evoke this emotion and doing such-and-such would be the best way to portray that" instead of the typical videogame standard of "where are we going to fit our motorcycle level??". Making decisions made purely on narrative quality while completely abandoning what is arguably one of the most uninventive formulas in media sounds pretty good to me. He has a vision and everything in the game is a step toward that vision. And thats all a step away from the "typical videogame".

Even if he is refering to his new game as "a violence game".
