There are hella Goemons being made, they just haven't came out in America. In fact, one of the main reason Working Designs died was that they kept trying to get the PS2 Goemon approved by Sony and they just couldn't. |

Unfortunately, I wouldn't exactly say there are hella Goemons being made - the series has quieted down after the veritable explosion of games that happened around 2000-2001, as only two games have been produced since then (the DS Goemon and an port of the first two SNES games to GBA). I don't doubt the game series will rear it's head up again, but it may be another year or two, and the series will continue to fade into obscurity in the US in the meanwhile.
Sorry to be so depressing!
anyway RR, if you want to find out what games got made after the N64 ones, check out this Hardcore Gaming 101 article
Also, I highly suggest you read The Orange Treehouse of Konami II to find out exactly what we're missing out on with Goemon DS.
And listen to the four Impact Battle themes from the second PSX installment.
And go play the SNES games. Or at least the first, second and fourth.
seriously go play them right now >:(((((((( _________________

Yeah, the DS Goemon looks really great. It's one of those games that makes me feel very bad about not being able to read Japanese, even if Chaz suggested that I don't really need to be able to read the text to enjoy the game.
These days, I think that they've been doing some really awful, abhorrent things with poor Goemon. Just check out Ganbare Goemon: Shin Sedai Shuumei or Goemon: New Age Shutsudou! Criminally poor taste!
The HG101 article doesn't seem to have anything on it about PS2 Goemon tho. Damn shame. Or not. YouTube reveals all--even that which might be better left hidden. _________________ Taking a break. |

It's mentioned under the N64 entries, but yeah, that video shows why Working Designs was basically trying to polish and promote something that was better left forgotten.
I wonder if Capcom would be willing to lend Konami the Okami engine to remake it....
