I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure in Skype, everyone is connected to everybody, so the bandwidth it takes goes up linearly for each person that connects. This is in contrast to Vent's system, where everyone connects to a single server, and only the server needs lots of bandwidth (bandwidth for the user does not change regardless of number of people connected).
If you use Skype, my guess is you're quickly going to run out of bandwidth with a conference call of more than like 4 people. |
