I chuckled hard at this one, Inverted Tower of Lebab:

I am bumping this thread because the level editor now supports PoP2. This can only mean good things.
Also are there more of these? These are awesome. _________________ twit |

| Dang, that Inverted Tower of Lebab was a fucking awesome level. Fantastic use of mechanics/peculiarities that never seem to come into play much in the original game. |

Yea, disabling spike traps by dropping dudes on them is pretty neat. Why was the guy acting so weird at around 3:30 when dealing with those two potions? _________________

i imagine the potions where the prince was jumping around was so he could avoid drinking them. likely because those vials were poison.
the tiptoe, picking up stuff, and general actions (except jump) are assigned to one key. _________________

| Yeah, tapping the action key picks up potions, and the game is really lenient on placement (IE it'll snap you into place to drink a potion even if you tap the key something like a tile away). The level requires you to futz around with vertical jumps and crouching (both of which move you forward a tiny bit) in order to put yourself in precise spots where you can move the way you want without involuntarily picking up the poison vial. |

| Prince of Persia and Flashback were unique in that the meat of the game is mastering the arbitrary quirks of the predefined and largely uninterruptible character animations. It's part of the fighting-game skillset applied to a platformer. It's obvious why they're not considered to have aged well since they're incredibly clumsy compared to Mario, but I always appreciated them for their (inadvertent) mechanical depth. |
