Its not Gunblade/LA Machineguns without that big fuck off machinegun making your arms numb.
Gunblade is all right though. One of the few games I could just about 1CC though it has the standard Sega lightgun bullshit of just throwing stuff at you near the end of the game so you would just fly through lives and credits.
At least I have the HOTD Hand Cannon so I can replicate the Arm Numbing part at least. |
The only time I played Gunblade was when I was in 6th grade, at a local arcade. The gun was awesomely huge, especially for an 11 year-old. Too bad that could never feasibly be made into a peripheral. :(
I'm interested in this compilation.

My point is Ebert is much more "in his element" here than Tycho is. Esteemed, experienced critic and perveyor of art speaks on the artistic merits of something. Nerd-gasm gamer who writes a horrific webcomic on timely news in the video game industry chastises him. I'll side with the former.
Ebert doesn't know anything about video games. This is obviously true. It's not news. What is more interesting is that no one affiliated with games on any real level knows anything about art, based on the immense volume of criticism Ebert has received, as well as the frankly embarrassing academic output of video game "experts." Ebert might be wrong or he might be right, but there may be no one on the planet earth able and qualified to to make a substantive argument one way or the other. That's a sad thing to see. |
