In a revelation that, to some, is on the order of realizing there is (or isn't) a god, it turns out that all the dungeons in The Legend of Zelda were part of the same enormous map. This seems to have some sort of transcendental importance that I can't quite put my finger on.
probably old news |
Some of Nintendo's older games were really efficient works of programming art. Link's Awakening's underworld (that is, everything not on the overworld) works in a very similar way. |

man that looks like shit now.
The new shadowing doesn't even keep with the art style. Its like they put regular shadows on that would go for a normal looking game.
and there's something else there too, like bloomy vaseline or something. it also looks like they may have dialed back the color saturation a sukoshi. |
The first thought that came to my mind was "fan-made re-texture running on an emulator".

| Man, Peter Cullen will never be out of work again. I just want a 90 minute movie of that, I think. |

That's a pretty nice site. So minimal and concise in its delivery of information.
Related: Mega Man 10 using Robot Master contest entries from 15 years ago.
EDIT: Which has been replaced with a fat Sephiroth, for the moment. Stop playing with my heart, allgamesbeta.info.
To be honest, Sun Man is pretty generic, but Lagarriet Tounes had better get some credit in the staff roll.
