Am now breathlessly anticipating a cameo by Dante from Devil May Cry as the Spartans' Somersault Combat Instructor. _________________

I want to do that thing, from that .gif, where I ride high on a rocketing gas tank.
I don't seem to be able to do that thing, from that gif. _________________

I've reached the part where we know kid/Kid/Kidd has changed because not only had he dropped a "d" but he starts calling the teenage boy he begins sleeping with "cocksucker".
Smooth sailing from here on out. (?)

I have absolutely no idea what the thesis of this article is. Especially because what little press I've seen on Red Dead Redemption emphasizes the fact that one of the central conflicts of the game is the encroachment of modernity onto "traditional" "Western" life. |
His working thesis was "I spent twenty minutes on wikipedia and will now return from this flaming informational mountaintop to bestow self-evident knowledge on the interplebes."
It was cut in later drafts. _________________

The Limey has a commentary featuring the screenwriter laying into Soderbergh re: all the ways in which the latter screwed up the former's script, saying he likes the movie, as a movie, but not as the product of his script. They go around and around semi-pleasantly.
He said if Towne can complain about Chinatown, he gets to complain about anything he wants.
Edited for spurious plural. _________________

| The commentary for Conan the barbarian special edition dvd or whatever is pretty great. With every new scene the director is basically creaming himself at how THIS is the best scene ever and nobody could ever do it better etc etc. |
No the best part is the scene where Conan is reading some scrolls, and his handlers stick a young woman into his cage, and Mako explains that he was "bred to the finest stock", and on the commentary Milius won't stop talking about how genuinely terrified the actress was of Arnold, and Arnold won't stop awkwardly trying to change the subject back to physical training. _________________
