There is no detailed report on Reginleiv yet, but he will put one up later tonight. He mentions the game supports both Motion+ as well as the classic controller and that it is a surprisingly violent game. You can target the heads and limbs of enemies in the game, and slice off both heads and limbs complete with blood effects. It definitely earns the CERO D rating. The setting of the game is an EDF style action game pitting young deities against a race of giants. The free online play is for co-op, and supports up to 4 players. There will be weapon customization, featuring over 300 different weapons. |
Some of this sounds like mistranslations, but I'll import this baby on release day anyway, along with two motion plus thingies if the rumours turn out to be true. Sandlot cannot do wrong. |

| Wasn't Black the single player only FPS that did the "unlock stuff by replaying levels" thing somewhat aking to Goldeneye and Perfect Dark? I always wanted to pick this one up, what was wrong with it Dracko? |

What was the last Ace Combat with blue skies, didn't the series leave the arcades behind with the 2nd installment?

I hope that's just the EJECT/PARACHUTE button because it shows up a couple times and it's triangle every time. |
I suspect they're taking hints from Sky Crawlers, in which you could activate certain cinematic maneuvers by the press of a button. Let's hope I'm wrong, cause I hate the idea of switching autopilot on to get behind enemies. |

| I actually haven't played any of the Ace Combat games yet, what would be a good place to start? |

I asked for Ace Combat advice a few months ago, didn't I? Anyway, I guess I'll start with 4 and check out 1, because arcade conversion and all.
Maybe I'll also try and get my hands on one of these Hori Fligh Sticks. There's also Aero Dancing 4, AirForce Delta and Sky Odyssey, so it could see some use besides the Ace Combat games.
What a sexy piece of equipment. I've seen a cheap set for PS1, but missed to pick it up. Afair there's also an official one for Ace Combat 6, I wonder how it would work with After Burner Climax. |
