yeah, but some sideburns might helps a little bit. I think it is how clean your face looks like you never even have stubble, that contributes to you looking psychotic.

Remember, my brother Joes rocks the sideburns. And while he does look normal enough, no one can argue that he isn't fucking psychotic. It's not that he'd be a serial killer, it's just that he's unstable.

I had a pretty solid beard that i just got rid of. I had fun on the way to shaving it all off though. This is completely serious too. Had it for about a week and then got rid of the rest. Freaked everyone out.

Sounds hott. DO IT.

I nearly fucking died yesterday because it was hot and I was sweaty and ITCHY BEARD ARRAGRG. So I removed the neckbeard: instant relief!

These pictures of Drew are making me want to take my beard places.

I had a great photo of my beard taken recently but it is not on the internet yet.

Every time I get my hair cut these days I leave the top a little longer and trim the sides a little shorter.

Last time she said, "This is like an overgrown fauxhawk!"

I am strongly considering going for a full-on fauxhawk...

I have dabbled with styling it that way in the mornings, but never gone outside... I need to get the top a bit longer to pull it off though...

Maybe...

Maybe...

So yeah, have we ever had the pubic hair trimming discussion here?

I reckon that's one thing dads should tell their sons in the future: trim the pubes.

Shaving is just kind of silly because it grows back kind of rough.

I first had my pubes ritualistically shaven, with a straight razor, prior to an operation on my testicles. I tell you. That was a fine shaving job. Could never quite get used to having more than a half a centimeter of pube since then.

I would feel better about beards if I could grow one worth a damn. At least then I could get the fierce Unix beard to go with the rest of my overweight computer nerd appearance.

As for pube shaving...

NEVER SHAVE!

Just trim, then perhaps shave it into a ncie pattern...like a woman!

stop being a pussy and get a real hawk. I know you want to cover it up when mommy comes over, but nobody can possibly take your shit seriously.

you know i'm just playin', right?

also, a decent real hawk will get you mad hit on by random chicks. whether or not you will want any of them is up in the air, but yeah, it kinda works, especially if done in an area where nobody else is sportin one.

WIll someone offer me a job where I can actually sport a 'hawk and be accepted?

No offense to you google, but the only way I can describe a fauxhawk is half-assed.

The fact that either the mohawk or the fauxhawk attracts women is puzzling to me.

You make Google cry!

But seriously, I guess its because I live in Canada...

The people over here only ever see hockey hair...so anyone with any ounce of European flair is automatically awesome!

I think Brian Crecente of Kotaku fame has a good look going on.

For a greasy D&D gamer!!!

I shave quite regularly because I absolutely HATE facial hair. A couple of my friends have this white trash whispy stuff going on. It just looks sad.

No, not really. I mean...

...I don't know. I have a MOhawk but...fauxhawks just look...odd. I guess you said you work in a professional environment so you can't really have a mohawk then. Would you get one if you could?

To me the fauxhawk is high school personified. Not in a bad way, it's just really common around here.

If I may be so bold I'll suggest that the neckbeard/"beard with a weakass mustache" thing is a response to the long black waif movement of the late 90's/early 2000's.

Before I shaved I had this little chin beard thing (the one that stupid metal kids tend to have, only not as long.) It hides the double chin quicker than actually getting into shape :/ When my face decides to man the fuck up I'll get a full beard, but my facial hair is about eight shades redder than the stuff on my head. Awkward.

I went total derelict in the middle of high school. Had a mullet and a full-face and neck beard.

I realise now how stupid it looked, so now I shave once every three to four days. When it goes a little bit farther than Sonny Crocket stubble, I know it's time for a buzzing.

I cut my hair with some broken sissors I found in my closet. I get complaments every now and again so I dont do a terrible job.

I was clean shaven til a few weeks ago when I realized that I looked 14 years old from the neck up. I usually have a short-beard or some stubble now.

Also, I had some glasses for a movie part lately. I look pretty good in them. Is getting glasses with normal non-prescription glass overly vain?

Getting back on topic, I googled for "fauxhawk" and found this, which might be the greatest thing ever:

Quote:
Ok motherfuckers, I am tired of any kind of trend getting bashed to a premature death on the internet. First you did it to electroclash. Then it was vintage clothes. Now you're doing it to faux hawks. Do you wonder why this decade doesn't yet have any kind of recognizable look or style? Because fashions which in the 90s might have had a 4 year life cycle are now reduced to 18 months at best...

...their deaths abetted by the derisive cackling of so many bloggers. What's better than a faux hawk, I ask you, fawx hawk bashers? Have you discovered some new, miraculously stylish cut that you just refuse to share with the world, a cut so mod and vogue that it is veritably "underground"? Are you instead some washed up, aging, bitter and resentful mo, unable to let the young enjoy being young? Or maybe you just plop the same goop of $60 a jar whatever into your hair, push it up, and call that a style? Fuck you. Take your acrid dismissals and shove them up your Wet Platinum-encrusted ass.

Bott, I don't think that post actually helps the case of the fauxhawk. Though you may not have meant it to.

Also, anything that can be killed by bloggers deserves to die.

Beard? Never considered it. Girl once suggested I grow a goatee, but that would've taken forever and I'd look stupid until it was done. I now shave every other day, all of it.

Pubes? On occasion. I like things neat and tidy. Just like my women.

I really wish I did the fauxhawk when I had the chance! I went from having a 3.5" (longer if straightened out) afro as of this past Saturday to goddamn near nothing, because I figured the woman cutting my hair knew what she was doing. It's going to take me another six months to grow the groovin' jewfro back.

Seriously it could have been a white boy Mr. T sort of thing going on. I'll make sure to give it a shot come, uh, August or so, when I get back to school for the fall.

I lose about six years of age if I shave. I try to keep a nice little Abe Lincoln thing going. I've tried keeping a mustache lately. It's a bit shit but it's getting better.

As for the patch, yeah, definitely get in the habit of trimming that shit. Feels nice!
