At this point, I think it's safe to assume that I'll never get an XBOX 360. However, I still want to try this game.
It looks as if import copies of Red Seeds Profile for PS3 are no longer outrageously expensive, so I'll probably go that route soon. There's no real language barrier for someone who doesn't know Japanese at all, is there? I understand that there is an English language option for dialogue, but are the menus and things navigable? |

| I pre-ordered it, and should also have it tomorrow. I won't know the difference if there are problems with the port since I've never tried the game before, and I'm sure not going to wait for a patch. |

This is a pretty interesting game. I like how, when you drive around with other people in the car, they don't seem to care when you go in the wrong direction, crash a lot, go through the forest, etc. (all unintentional because driving is tricky).
I haven't played the original for comparison, but I haven't noticed any significant performance problems so far. I have the old-style PS3. Nothing like how in SH3 HD everything slowed to a crawl when you were out on the street (fixed in that final patch). |

There must be something subtly Irem-like about it. I keep thinking of Steambot Chronicles. Maybe because of how time passes as well as the unguided exploration.

I've been having this problem, too, but I think it's just because I stay up way too late playing the game without a break. Well, and some of the text is a little hard to read on my SD TV.

Now I'm glad my code didn't work.
That fight in the theater at the end was really something. I'm glad things took a turn for the bizarre like that.
Can you kill the "zombified" townspeople when you're approaching the theater, and if you do will they be permanently gone? I also never tried just randomly attacking a normal person in the game. I assume that either nothing happens or you get an Investigation Failure. |

The downloadable PS3 version is on sale this week for USD $6, for anyone who might be interested.
So are Dead Space 1 and 2, incidentally. |
