It would have to be double-dog-dare material. Hold it in your mouth until it stops.

Hey, hey! Then for you, there are no cons at all.

ALSO:

Food eaten: Inago

Country of Origin: Japan

Type: Grasshoppers in a sweet soy sauce

Fashion Consumed: Fingers, from a plastic tray (a student brought them to class)

Cons: Heavy mental block to overcome, if you dislike the idea of eating insects. Can be difficult to locate out of season.

Pros: Sauce is great. Have an overall crispy texture that isn't that revolting at all.

Overall: These actually tasted pretty nice, but I think it would take a while before I could eat them in any sort of volume. Fortunately, they have Quizno's here, so I don't think it's likely to come to that.

Yummers!

I'd also enter chicken's feet. Quite an awesome dish, even if you feel like some evil troll in a story book eating children.

Food eaten: Fried caterpillars and grasshoppers
Country of Origin: Thailand
Type: Crispy-fried with a chili/fish paste
Fashion Consumed: Fingers, from a paper cone
Cons: Heavy mental block to overcome, if you dislike the idea of eating insects. Can be difficult to locate out of season?
Pros: The sauce is awesome. I think it's called nam pla . great on rice, too.
Overall: Asian french fries. I'd be interested to try these with ketchup. Grasshopper legs were gross, though, I'd pull those off if I were to eat these again.

Cons: Heavy mental block to overcome, if you dislike the idea of eating wriggling tentacles. Somewhat slimy texture. Suction cups still function, so pieces might stick to your cheek or tongue while eating.

Pros: Movement aside, tastes as good as any other tentacle you'd get in a sushi shop. Sauce is excellent, and nicely compliments any liquor you might be enjoying. Tentacle chunks actually coat themselves in the sauce once placed in the dish, saving valuable dining time.

Overall: Tasty, as long as you get the sauce on there. A good drinking food. Chew quickly.

When I went to Jaejudo as a kid, I got to choose which squid I want chopped up in front of me and got horribly traumatized as I watched the blood vessels explode through the transparent skin of the legs. Also, the strange sensation of not being able to swallow because of the suction cups sticking to my tongue was really kind of weird.

Still, now I'd probably eat it without any problems.

Also, ppondeggi is all worlds of nastiness. They sell it in little cans at every Korean market I've seen too. They explode if you microwave it, the little larvae!

Klikbeep, what is your favorite Korean food?

Oh, man -- the Hawaii of Korea. Why go anywhere else?

Dunno if I have one! I really liked duenjang chigae or yukejang for lunch, but those galbi and samgyopsal dinners with friends were probably my best memories of Korea.

For me, Korean food is a bit like Mexican -- similar tastes, limited ingredients, but sometimes nothing else will do.
