playing Live A Live in an attempt to make a legitimate Let's Play because it's one of my favorite games that i have the means to record
(if i could i would do an Eternal Sonata LP because i'm one of the aliens who thinks Eternal Sonata is awesome)
also considering giving Radiant Historia a real chance even though i don't like what little i played of it, since i'd like to play an RPG i haven't played through before
i can't really play things that aren't RPGs for any significant length of time anymore (although i plan on getting back to SpaceChem and beating it because it owns). i couldn't even beat Vanquish ffs, although i attribute that mostly to Act 3 being fucking garbage and destroying my enthusiasm _________________

| Finally hopping on this Persona 4 bus. I'm about two-ish hours in. So far it's way too fucking chatty (I knew there'd be a lot of dialogue, but I didn't realize that so much of it would be repeating shit that was already said), but the best parts make me feel like I'm playing a Kiyoshi Kurosawa movie. Gonna keep at it for that reason, but I really hope things improve once I get past this endless prologue. |
the pace is egregiously slow but it does pick up pretty soon after the chatty first couple of hours. once it gets going, the dialogue/high school stuff is punctuated by dungeoneering in such a way that they balance out pretty nicely (most of the time) _________________

DSiXL hurts my hands + the dpad/buttons are terrible, but DSphat's screen is too dark and tiny to go back to. DS dilemma
to top it off, Radiant Historia broke its stride by throwing a dumbass "fetch 5 specific twigs from this forest" thing at me and it's not even a sidequest _________________

That's really the only crime they commit in an otherwise wonderfully paced game.
Although you might have to do it twice. :| |
yeah, up until now the pacing has been really tight (albeit marred by my need to get 100%, since they're keeping track, but that's just me)
i feel kind of bad that i haven't used Rosch or Aht at all, since the "core 3" seem to be the only constants in the party so far. i assume i'll have all of the characters available at once eventually, though.
Q: what's up with the Right-Cut Scroll? it says it teaches what i'm assuming is Right Assault, but i can't use or equip it, and the skill didn't show up for Marco or anything. _________________
