Why did I pay $40 for this? Still awesome though. Love the Zelda vibe. I'm about halfway through. Enemies are a bit repetative though _________________ Someday somethings coming

I had a huge amount of trade in credit, so I was buying things left and right. Still, you can get games for cheap - lowest I've seen is $3 for Sega Superstars Tennis. I could have got i cheaper if I'd waited.
I like it, but I think i'm going to take a break. Powered through about half of it without even stopping to do sidequests.
There's a Let's Play up on the Something Awful forums by the guy who did the Drakengard LP that goes into some background on the weapons _________________ Someday somethings coming

I've been skipping the sidequests and the upgrading and all that and playing it like a Zelda clone. _________________ Someday somethings coming

had the worst experience with this this weekend. Saturday night i got to the Darklord's Castle. get to the very final bit of the very final boss. i've got a sliver of health and its 8:30pm. try a few times to get through the bullet hell, realize I'm not going to do it with no food and i need to leave anyway. so i quit, and realize that the last save point was about 3 hours ago.
powered through it the next morning but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. liked it, though... gonna try for the B ending. wish you could play as Kaine. seems like a lot of the game was cut because they ran out of money _________________ Someday somethings coming

| Apparently, the E ending (part of the cut content) had you playing as Kaine. There've been some rumblings about a sequel despite all evidence to the contrary, and if this happens I would not be surprised to see her as the protagonist. |
it feels like that's what the game wants you to do with the B path _________________ Someday somethings coming

I've been watching Supernatural, and I've got two three younger siblings, so I understand the protectiveness.
The timeskip didn't make as much narrative sense in the version I played, though. It was like 'a few things changed and you can use bigger weapons' vs what it must be for Brother Nier. _________________ Someday somethings coming
