I read somewhere that they were originally planning on going with that only the studio thought people wouldn't "get" it. I think Goyer/Nolan can write a good Joker, and with Heath Ledger in the role I think they'll be going somewhere far beyond the Jack-Nicholson-as-Jack-Nicholson Joker from the original Batman. |

Nicholson's Joker certainly suited Burton's film, but I think Ledger as the Joker is a good sign of how they're going for character rather than caricature.
Batman Begins is my favourite superhero film guys. |
