man i thought the translation of DQ8 was pretty nice and charming. the voice acting could be a little too silly for my liking at times but yangus was awesome.
maybe they've gone a little too far since then but i prefer bad puns and silliness to bland overwrought JRPG whatever dialog.

i was always tempted to use fisticuffs in DQ8, but the allure of SPEARS was too much for me to resist!

man i remember grinding like crazy using king metal slimes in DQ8 and temporarily getting so far ahead of the experience curve i was able to run from every battle in the next dungeon. helped me beat the game faster, it did!

this is how i played DQ8 my second time and it was wayyyyy better. i think trode even commented on my party becoming way overpowered.
