Psiga I'm telling you, The manga is a hundred times better than the anime. It's even translated in english already. You could probably find it at a good chapters!
That girl isn't even the main character! She's also actually kind of lovable. |

Did you catch all the drama surrounding the rapid cancellation of the US release of the manga this is based on (dubbed "Nymphet" for the US market... by the Japanese rights-holder) the week it was to hit store shelves? It was pretty fuckin' great, especially since anyone who had heard the slightest bit about the comic (and 4chan's enjoyment of it) could've told you it was a bad idea and wouldn't work out. But the pedophiles lashed out in anger anyway when someone at the US publisher decided to mention the content to bookstores and they cancelled their orders, and when the head of the company actually read the comic and hit across some "no sir, I can't spin that as anything other than pedobait" material. _________________

At first I thought, "Woah, this is at least twice as blatant as Lucky Star!" Then toward the end they show one of the girls pulling on her underwear, and then skirt-lift flashing the main character, and I did a real genuine D: at the horror of it all.
Cheers, Japan! Worst yet! _________________

The premise of the series is that the main girl is trying to seduce her teacher. She is in elementary school. _________________

I think Genius Party (part 1) is either in theatres now or will be in theatres in Japan soon, so you're SOL on that one for a while. Tekkon Kinkreet is supposed to get a US DVD release in the next couple of months, so, keep your eyes peeled. _________________

That clip's fucking absurd, though unsurprising.
Oh, and, thanks for the Cromartie thoughts, the gallery. Panned out tolerably, though I don't recall furry, throbbing lollipops in the OG. Explanation, anyone? |

Kodomo no Jikan seems to be hentai?
Though I wonder, why do you even care to mention it, you would have to point at god-knows-how-many other series that are around and available right now if you are shocked by that ... there surely will be enough sickos around to make this show take off in Japan, hands down.
But hey, I so do NOT want to know what they will come up with after this kind of fan-service will become common, that should freak people out rather than this. _________________

I told you it was bad guys. I told you it could only grow.
This is only the beginning. Soon the otakus and hikkikomori will spread everywhere. They will grow and only keep growing until there is nothing of us left.
Actually, judging from the quantity of psychotic anime fans present in north america, their plan must already be underway. |

It is my estimation that this new quantity of psychotic anime fans is simply the old quantity of goths and Hot Topic posers. I routinely spot such figures consulting the manga section at my local Barnes & Noble. |

I recommend my own current diet: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Gurren Lagann, and Darker Than Black when the other two are absent.
I wouldn't dare stray from anything less than those three at this point. _________________ o-/< --- o-\< --- o-|-| --- o^-< |

I have seen children in cosplay (I also saw a really hot blind chick in cosplay once, it was a pretty good Kenshin costume. This really freaked me out because she was with this older guy who was like 24 (she looked 16-18), and I was trying really hard to think of any other person who could have dressed her up, but she was never with any other people) This is doubly horrifying, as it reveals two things. First, either they know how to breed, or they have begun to abduct children. Second, not even getting laid can sway these people from their obsession. This has gone beyond an escape for the maladjusted. It's become a psychological virus, that can infect people online.
We must blow up the satellites. It is our only hope. |

Well, except for the times when Naruto is good. |

darker than black isn't bad nor great, it's just average and boring, and good luck trying to make any sense out of it. worth watching a few eps just for the action scenes though, and Li is awesome.
the devil may cry anime is really really good, probably because it's nothing like the games and its story is almost completely episodic. great direction too.
i must also recommend the bizarre and stylish Mononoke, but at least watch the third arc of Ayakashi first, which it is based off of.
baccano is just crazy, nonsensical, and disjointed, in a good way. and it's a fairly accurate (aesthetically at least) depiction of Depression-era America.
you're all going to shun me for this, but I think kodomo no jikan is pretty damn hot. i'm looking forward to the ova next month. i remember the whole US manga release fiasco, I think Nymphet would have done fair business if they had made it a limited online-only release, obviously no bookstore would dare to carry it. |

So, I had a look at Mononoke, and its foxish protagonist. A rather over-familiar animal in a fresher frock, but I'll probably give it a few more sessions.
Tamala 2010, on the other hand, which I think I've been meaning to examine for a couple of years, turns out to be one o'the tidiest music videos I've seen for a similar time-period. The moaning hustlers got a chuckle. |

That Gurren-Lagann is a huge success is nice.
That Konami owns the exclusive rights to any and all videogames to ever be made based on Gurren-Lagann is probably a whole lot nicer. _________________

I read somewhere on a random internets forum (clearly an unquestionably 100% accurate source) that Gurren isn't getting ratings as high as Lucky Star. _________________

Black Lagoon is good if you like American action movies and Hong Kong bullet operas, or great if you love watching such films as LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, FACE/OFF, and THE KILLER. There are explosions, guns, a church of violent nuns, and probably one of the hottest on-screen non-kiss kisses in the history of visual media.
Gurren Lagann remains consistently completely fucking awesome.
Mononoke is classical Japanese horror in an ultra-stylized container; if that's your thing (it's definitely mine), then by all means, check it out. It's not really "bizarre"; I think it's better described as "contains a shitload of jump cuts."

That may be true.
However, "Lucky Star" isn't a real show, so it doesn't count. _________________
