D:I'm going to have fucking nightmares with it. I'll need to read at least 25 numbers of "100 Bullets" and/or Transmetropolitan to wash my eyes and brain.

My thumbs are pretty much all the way up when it comes to Gurren Lagann.

I give another thumb up. Watched episode 20 right now. This thing is a monument to the completely awesome!

Also. Should I watch Black Lagoon? It seem like a nice homage to action movies. And I love action movies.

Black Lagoon is good if you like American action movies and Hong Kong bullet operas, or great if you love watching such films as LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, FACE/OFF, and THE KILLER. There are explosions, guns, a church of violent nuns, and probably one of the hottest on-screen non-kiss kisses in the history of visual media.

Sold. I watched the first chapter, and the show promises a lot.

It gets even better once you get to the second season.

Great! Watched chapters 2 and 3, and damn, Black Lagoon is awesome. I didn't know about the second season. So this is probably the new of the day for me.

i'm at episode 10 of GL and i think it kinda sucks in the sense that it's a totally generic anime and the only redeeming factor is the pure fucking awesomeness of the entire series which is actually one hell of a redeeming factor so I'll keep watching it for sure.

I think that it's one of the reasons why GL is so awesome. GL doesn't pretend to be incredible original, only wants to be good, funny and full of nerve and passion. It show how "generic anime" should be made. That you don't need to be "original", "trascendent" or "post modern" or anything like that to make a good anime. You only need to do it GOOD. (Of course, if you do it GOOD and original you are doing it even better.)

But I'm not an anime expert (I watched like five or six series in my life) so take it with a grain of salt.

Watched chapter 22 of GL. Amazing how it seems to say "Do you really think that we can't make this more big and epic?" And then, bang, everything becomes bigger than before.

After watching Gurren Lagann 27 I'm completely speechless.

I mean... wow, fucking wow with sugar on top. Chapter 27 was the epitome of awesomeness. And drills.
