Guys, I need some advice. I recently found a MovieStop near my home, and MovieStop has awesome prices on movies. Being mostly a used movie shop, it has lots of older movies in stock. This inclused anime, where I'm seeing lots of anime from my childhood that I always saw trailers for but never actually got around to watching. Now that they're cheap ($10 for one DVD, $20 and up for 26 episode boxsets), I'm considering picking some of these up. I'm mostly motivated by nostalgia here; I'm not expecting anything high-brow or smart, but if they're entertaining enough, I'd consider picking them up. Do any of you know about these?

They have Neo-Ranga, which was this show where the trailer showed a bunch of tribal girls who didn't wear any clothes but had red, swirly tatoos to cover their naughty parts. I recently watched a trailer for it on this one DVD I got recently, and it looks like there might be giant-robot like things involved, and I became interested.

They also have BurnUp-W, as well as Excess. All I remember about BurnUp-W's trailer was there is this one scene where some criminals are holding workers hostage in a sky scraper. So the police strip one of their female officers naked and make her bungie jump from a helicopter outside the windows of the sky scraper. While the criminals are disctracted, the swat team bursts in and take down the bad guys. It looked really wacky and I thought it might be an entertaining comedy?

I also saw the Those Who Hunt Elves boxset for $25. This was a show about some people who are trapped in some typical fantasy world, and the only way to get back to the normal world is by finding certain elves who have a magical tatoo somewhere on their body. So these people drive around in a giant tank (I guess it came with them) and strip every elf they find, and have wacky adventures I'd assume.

I was going to ask a question about Devil Hunter Yohko, but for some reason my instinct is telling me it was probably really bad.

There is an awful lot of naked girls in this post anime.

Thanks for the reply. I went there today and found out they only had BurnUp-W Excess, the TV series, and only of a few DVDs of that. Ended up leaving with PTU, a Hong Kong action film my brother recommended. I'll probably go back tomorrow for Yohko and maybe Neo-Ranga, depending on what the price was and if it was a boxset or not. If that's a no go, I might get Gravion/Gravion Zwei, since my friend is recommending that one to me and it was $35 (though I'm still trying to figure out the difference between this collection and this one).

They have a Buy 3, Get 1 free on used items, so I'm trying to make the most of it.

The picture for Star Driver has me kind of interested. That mech looks really funky. The person reminds me a bit too much of Gurren Lagann and Diebuster, though. Who knows, maybe the name is literal. In the year 34XX, the truckers of the future have moved from driving 18-wheelers to red dwarfs.

Would the Witchblade Blu-Ray collection be worth $20? I had always assumed the series was crap, but after looking at reviews on the internet it might be okay? I also saw Heroic Age blu-ray collection for $20. These things are usually $70, so I'm really tempted to jump on one of these if there's any shred of entertainment to be had. I don't know anything about them though, because I've been out of the anime loop for the most part for the past 4 years.

I really love this mech design for Star Driver. Looking forward to seeing more.

yes it had a recap episode (oh noes, 12 minutes of recap, how can one possibly survive?)

Why does a 12 episode series need a recap episode? Why does it need to take up an entire half of an episode? This complaint isn't levied only at PSG; I've seen other anime do it too and it seems superfluous.
