| Everyone saw the giant green vending machine dispensing fifths of liquor, right? That right there is probably the tip of the actual wacky iceberg. |

Cipher Prime is doing another indie game sale, six new games for 20 bucks. They also have the old bundle up for 20, or you can get both bundles for 30.
http://www.theindiebundle.com/
The new bundle includes AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!: A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, BrainPipe, Captain Forever, Cogs, Saira, and Space Giraffe.
The old bundle, in case you missed it, was And Yet It Moves, Auditorium, Aztaka, Eufloria, Machinarium, and Osmos.
Deal is good for the next week. |

Or they might as well pirate it, because either way they're not paying for a game someone else bought.
I seriously don't get why you'd want to wait for these cheap indie bundles if the reason you're buying the game is to support the developer. |
I haven't put forth an argument on behalf of the developers. I posted this oblivious to piracy. It is just a bunch of games for a little change, so relax. |

Ok, let me rephrase this a little:
Why should I care if I have my CD key if I can still play it through steam? And what "early access/demo thingy" are you referring to? |
This is all about gearbox giving beta codes for duke nukem forever. You should now have a key code there for when that eventually comes out. |

It has been translated, sure, but as someone who doesn't have a modded ps1 or any experience getting ps1 emulation to work, this is the first time I'll get to play this. _________________

| Is the new Castlevania game that much worse than something like Ninja Blade? Both kind of rely on their themes to get them by. I suppose WILD AND WACKY NINJA is a cooller theme than Castlevania, but... well shit. |
Mechanically NB is solid through the whole game. CV as an action game feels forced. From the demo, the hits seem kind of light and floaty, and the fixed camera feels too restrictive when in the middle of being flanked by enemies.
Far as themes go, it is a matter of taste. I love the crazy things that happen In ninja blade boss fights. In castlevania, I felt kind of weirded out when a glowing horse shows up out of nowhere right after a fight and starts talking to me about very serious things. _________________

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is getting prices slashed already, and it doesn't release for another couple weeks. Amazon and Gamestop both dropped the pre-order price to $39.99 from $59.99 for the PS3 version, and Gamestop doing the same for the 360 version. I'm in for that, I likes me some Game Republic.
Namco Bandai also seems to be in a panic, drastically reducing their sales expectations for the game from the absurd 1 million down to 300,000. |
The demo talked me out of it. It's not good! At all!
-Weş |
On the other hand, the demo showed more promise than what I was expecting, but it is a game to get much later when I can get it under 20.
Edit: what drem said. _________________

So they're porting EDF 3 to the PSP, and there's EDF Legend for probably cell phones, and EDF 4, on something. That's a whole lot of awesome right there. _________________

Threads of Fate was announced as well. This all on top of Front Mission 3's release is a nice change of pace for the US psn ps1 selection. _________________

Front Mission 3 is 6 bucks, I think. Also, Parasite Eve is not announced, that was just a list Firenze posted of games that came out the same year.
Front Mission 1 is on the DS, but I think Front Mission 3 holds up better. _________________

Hey, I saw this on the news in Pittsburgh and it was really sad. It looked like the mother of the suspect found out about this when news crews ambushed her at her home. The console was also a regular Game Boy, which is really just semantics in the big picture.
Jim Sterling is a guy I pretty much ignore because he's certainly not catering to me anyway with this kind of material. _________________

Not being smartarse or funny, but what race was the family? |

I figured they would do this as it would mean they could make a guaranteed hit, like it or not, using preexisting resources. Between this, the dismal FF XIV sales and reception (and, well, game itself), seeing a lot more Square PS1 games coming to PSN, and the fact that most all original IP development from SquareEnix is happening on the DS and PSP, I see the company more than ever struggling to survive. I hope I'm wrong, as it seems they are at least trying to shape up. _________________

... which is not to be confused with Final Fantasy XIII Versus, which is still in development.
http://www.4gamer.net/games/120/G012012/20110118006/
... 15 years ago this page would have given someone a heart attack. Now it's just giving me a headache.
So can we just call FF XIII Versus FF XIII 1.333 and FF XIII Type 0 FF XIII 1.667? _________________

Woah, just checked out xbox live and there's an extra stage and character add on for Castlevania HD based on Getsu Fuma Den? They also added Simon and a Castlevania 1 stage. This is unexpected, but I wager they all still play the same old way. _________________

I had been thinking that a good gesture would be for Microsoft to allow people to donate the unused balance of their MS Points. I've got 70, or about 87 cents, that isn't going to be used ever. We would all get to clear our coffers of cobwebs, they would get a chunk of change and fix an annoyance. Perhaps also direct donations would work for those not to be bothered by going to redcross.org? They've got an ad for it in one of their blades, though. I guess that's good enough for them. _________________
