What the hell? |
this is clearly an elaborate lie like everything else "Interplay" related in the past few years
this one in particular seems to be a surprisingly convincing lie, but I'm still sure it's a lie |

Dawn of War II's The Last Stand mode is now available as a stand-alone. It's called 'The Last Standalone' >.>

Apparently you can then buy the rest of the game for $10 off, if you so wish.

I just noticed that Fancy Pants Adventures hit XBLA yesterday. I have mixed feelings about this game. It's adapted from a flash game, and the original flash game came out at the same time as Pretty Pretty Bang Bang, which I totally thought was gonna be my breakout hit, and Fancy Pants took off (so to speak) while PPBB kinda fizzled (it was actually fairly popular, but not as much as Fancy Pants). On the other hand, though, I really enjoyed the original flash Fancy Pants, so when I saw that it was coming to XBLA I was simultaneously happy that this game I enjoyed was getting an XBLA port, and also furiously jealous.
Anyway, the original flash Fancy Pants was a loving tribute to early Sonic games, and it looks like the XBLA version is a LOT more of the same, so hop to it, Sonic-lovers! _________________

| It is very nice! Definitely the flashy/casual Sonic to Super Meat Boy's tightly focused and deep Mario. It is much looser and free flowing than Sonic, but from a physics and gimmick standpoint it's kind of like a Sonic game from an alternate timeline where they kept iterating on the original engine. It also expands on some of the great stuff from Mirror's Edge 2d as well. Also another cool game tainted forever with horrible internet jokes |

so much so, in fact, that I'm surprised Nintendo is giving it the go-ahead. |
Have you seen the DSiWare GameLoft Pokemon-a-like Crystal Monsters?
That comes off as way more egregious since this can also be considered similar to Wipeout.

Damn it, I really need to get a new joystick. Can't use the good old Sidewinder Precision Pro since it needs a (now long obsolete) game port.
Need to get my space sim on. Mechwarrior, too! _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

So, I wanted to tell you about our plans for supporting you in the future with some really exciting news, which I want to share with you now. Modding with the most powerful game engine is coming back!
We want to see what you guys can do with CryENGINE 3 and we hope we'll be as amazed with the things you create as we have been over the past few years. This time around, we're going to do things in a different way - offering you the right tools to achieve your vision.
First of all, we will be launching an Editor for Crysis 2 early in summer. This will allow you to build new maps, items and more custom content for Crysis 2. For teams looking for even more creative freedom, we have another option: The free CRYENGINE SDK. |

If Nintendo delivers a Wii 2 with a better videocard and more system RAM than PS3 and 360 within the next year, that might be a thing.
for a couple of years, until the PS4 and MSnext come out.
*so maybe its the new Dreamcast |

*the new Mortal Kombat game was developed in a way that the devs can rebalance it at any time. They don't need to create and submit a major patch.
*due to the fact that Skyrim is developed on the same tweaked DX9 for all platforms, the console versions could see mod support. I think that will be a first since UTIII |

ESRB can't rate mods, even on consoles. Now it depends if Microsoft would flip their shit regarding non QA'd mods appearing on their consoles (an opt in disclaimer would make sense, but this is Microsoft who insist on QA'ing everything) _________________

People were running Dead Rising 2 mods on the PS3 version. |

was that an official feature? or something people did after the hacking started? or what?
UTIII's modding was an official feature and the PC based mod tools included an option to "bake" the mod so that it would work on a PS3. |

Alongside Trouble Witches Neo for 800 points. And then, you know, Bangioh HD for 800 the next week. I have the 2000 points waiting patiently on my account. Quite a nice stretch for XBLA. |

Still no date on Silvergun XBLA :(
I get the impression that Treasure was kind of bullied into making it by Microsoft, and they're really unenthusiastic about releasing it. |

Either that or it's done and waiting, but Microsoft wants to hold it back to release it in their "Summer of Arcade" blitz... |

Ikaruga was two years held on PartnerNet and that was during the period when MS would only allow one game on XBLA a week. But XBLA is still really busy even though they allow 2-3 games a week now. So even if the game is finished, they could be just waiting for MS to give them a slot. _________________

well it does look like these are the first few levels. Other trailers I've seen make it look like something along the lines of Super Meat Boy and Aban Hawkins. _________________
