Jason Statham is the lamest, most boring new-generation action hero and doesn't even have 1/10 of the chops to successfully play a Stark character. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

No way that's Sam Worthington. Statham is great. |
I don't even count Sam Worthington because he's such a nonentity, but I guess that proves your point. Statham is still a total snoozefest on screen. The Expendables should have been subtitled Why Everyone Is 100 Times More Exciting Than Jason Statham, Even Jet Li For Christ's Sake. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

He did the Cranks, I'll give him that. (Actual best movie concept: Christmas with the Cranks) _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Reading that PO post and then watching the movie is pretty satisfying.
At one point one of the characters literally says, "You never listen to me, dad! Where's mom, huh? Where's mom?!" except instead of "mom" and "dad" he says the character names. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Yeah, I mean if you're looking for unrelenting pace as opposed to any particular content, I'd recommend Spartan. Actually that's a little like a horror movie too. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Poor Jack Black. The first Tenacious D record was probably the best straight rock album to come out that year, and on top of that it was incredibly hilarious. The man has an incredible voice and comic sensibility. Then I watch Gulliver's Travels on the airplane and it's like, I just don't know I guess.
(Ten years though? Come on: Kung Fu Panda is actually a pretty good movie. So is Pick of Destiny, if it comes to that.) _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Sean Bean always dies (/is disgraced, humiliated). Should be a GO-style analyocollection of Sean Bean characters somewhere. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

I like other Jackson films and like Fellowship the best of the trilogy, but I'd never actually made this connection. I think you're right. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

In the next one, they should kill the girl, then in the next one he could get another one, ad nauseam. Do about three or four pairs of movies that way and then there could be a real shake-up movie where Bond realizes what a creepy, dependent, cowardly, despicable fuck-up it makes him. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

transformers 3 was just a movie and it was fantastic
one of the scene-opening location titles early in the film was "ILLEGAL NUCLEAR FACILITY -- MIDDLE EAST"
the first line of the film is "We were once a race of peaceful mechanical beings"
I don't know what more anyone can ask for in a film, it's like an extremely faithful 200 million dollar remake of a movie made after school by a bunch of kids with their toys |
Yeah, it was pretty good, but lacked the transcendent, nasty insanity of the second one. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

It was weirdly emotionally flat - the script went through the three-act motions but I never felt any rising or falling action during the whole thing, just one long stream of Nazi-punching whatever. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

As Paris in the 20's cosplay it's pretty great, with ridiculous caricatures of all your favorites (Hemingway, Dali, etc), but all the modern-day stuff (i.e., the actual story and characters) is insufferable. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |
