I like how J. Rosenberg got out of writing a terrible strip for a year with new rules. Basically he was making a new 4 panel comic every day of the week, then the readers voted which one they wanted to see more of. One he obviously didn't like got voted again and again, which caused him to write worse and worse for it.

Then he changed the rules and got out of it.

Still the comic isn't funny enough for me to link it here.

Here's something I made a few years ago, but eventually gave up on because I realized it was absurdly silly and I didn't think I should be wasting my time on it.

Man, if I knew back then what stupid bullshit I'd end up wasting my time on instead I would have gone on and finished it.

Anyway, here's my Frank Miller's Alvin and the Chipmunks parody comic that precariously teeters on the edge of fanfic.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Next of Kin

A grisly tale of revenge, redemption, and redubbed pop tunes.

"Decades after the release of their last album, the world-famous chipmunk trio has been torn apart, their youthful dreams shattered by the whims of a mean and fickle world."

Alvin is still on top, his solo career a meteoric success. However, still waters run deep. Haunted by Theodore's fatal heroine overdose, Simon's brutal victimization by a slavering, scandal-crazed media, and the knowledge that their former mentor and producer Dave Seville is responsible for both, Alvin struggles to reconcile personal happiness with familial pride.

Hey so I just read the first 25 chapters of Gunnerkrigg Court.

The plot and mood of the thing can be described as 15% Dr. McNinja, 15% Dresden Codak, 15% Rice Boy, and 55% high school slice-of-life fiction.

Also it's got some pretty great colours!

And the main duo are adorable.
