H.U.D of affection - the FPS thread

I'm playing tribes ascend; it's kind of neat but also really bad at the same time. I like the "look" of the game the fact that they realloy played up the aliens planet aspect. I think the maps are fun to play on and pretty well designed, but the classes seem hella unbalanced (especially how useless the rangers assault rifle is compared to the soldiers weapons) my name on it is MrSkeleton by the way

games that are new: has anyone (but me) gotten into the tribes ascend (now open) beta?
i am a giant fucking baby for the original tribes game and whenever it gets mentioned anywhere i get hella weepy, and tribes: ascend seems like a wonderful throwback + modern design elements to the series (also you can skate past guys and then knife them)
