Ava's from an ad on the back of an Aperture photography magazine, shot with my cellphone camera (I really enjoy the results of cellphone cameras), and run through Decinoge's commiefilter, cause I haven't bothered to change it yet.

The original picture is an astronaut sitting on the side of the road, trying to thumb his way to Houston.

My avatar is Yukio, the lead character from Rakugaki Showtime, my favorite game for the Playstation 1.

My sig came about because I went a little over the top when I discovered the XBLA achievement generator, and I wanted to use it for a sig but I also wanted it to say something SB/IC-specific, so I set it to say "in before axe" which I had just learned the meaning of at about the same time.

Avatar is a scan of The Alchemical Press's logo. They were a small outfit specializing in (guess!) alchemical treatises. I ordered Paracelsus' The Tincture of the Philosophers, and they sent me a ton of stuff free. I took their logo as an extension of their generosity.

Signature text comes from Emerson's lecture titled "The Method of Nature."

Signature image is a screencap from the Ren and Stimpy episode titled "Stimpy's Big Day."
