It is kinda fun how the game seems to set that up numerous times but never follows through

like the whole sub-plot of the main character hating robots because his dad was horrible

I thought that it was implied that Dan was part cyborg in the same way was Lei.

Pretty disappointed that when dudemanpow finds partrobutt in the final cutscene it was not revealed that she was pregnant w/ his robutt babby.

Really dropping the variant endings ball here.

Just a heads up that if you have Playstation Plus (which I recently acquired), this game is free as of today or tomorrow. So you have no excuse not to play it now! (Unless that excuse is: 'I don't have a PS3 or PS+ lol')

Unfortunately? Not having a headset makes the game heaps better because you aren't spending time arguing with voice recognition software. Though I imagine there's some novelty in a game responding to you going "Fuck!".

If you can run it, the PC port is mighty fine, but can't say no to free*.

No joke, popping heads and shooting things was tons of fun in this game

Also I thought the point of Dan's thing was that he was human, but being controlled by the player? Like they joke about him doing bullshit ass-pull stuff but it is all because the player is controlling him, sorta *wink* *wink* nudge-nudge type of thing

Frankly it was more fun for me to shoot heads in this game than it was for me to shoot heads in Vanquish (Vanquish had other things going for it though)

Vanquish and this game are part of your Balanced Breakfast™. They complement each other nicely and are some of the best times you'll have shootin' robots on your Playstation Triple.

Shootbots are still way more fun than shootmans, if you ask me We need more shootbots!

EDIT: I just checked PSN, and it looks like it drops tomorrow, yeah. (But download Galaga Legions DX in the meantime, it's fun.)

I didn't have that much trouble with the voice recognition, but I seem to be in the minority. Calling out to Big Bo never got old.

I just played like 90 minutes of this and man it sucks.

You can't do anything without a context pop-up. So every action you might want to take, you have to pause and wait for the damn pop-up. I just want to hop over the box. and then it pops up with take cover. So you take cover. then it finally gives you the climb over the box symbol. fuck.

and it is SUPER linear. It's just straight corridor after straight corridor.

Every 50 feet of this game is a hinge problem.

The shooting is ok, I guess. But Most of the time it's just 9 robots straight in front of you. Hope you can manage your regenerating health enough to trade shots.

You can't even switch which shoulder you look over, which the game needs BADLY. Many times, you eat bullets because you have to step out 4 extra feet, to line up a shot. and yeah, some cover spots don't properly react for you to lean out and shoot. I'm glad this was free on PSN.

The game does seem like it has some interesting politics and philosophical stuff, here or there. Too bad the game isn't so hot.

I could get the game to recognize every single voice command/word, except "Fuck".

seriously, no hinge problems in this game, just hot hot stuff. god bless you, toshihiro nagoshi, and your wonderfully weird attention to silly details of game universes. it makes far too much sense that you were involved with F-Zero GX.

I cannot fathom how anyone could hate a game with a boss that is, essentially, a giant disco ball with guns

having robot enemies is also the best way I've seen the whole "I'm shooting them, but they're not reacting from being shot because video games" handled, in concert with the no-head berserk-mode, encourages, nay, dares you to piece them apart

if there was a just and fair God, we'd get another BD and the Gears of Contra thing onami threatens us with would die a horrible death

I think I was a little cold on Binary Domain until I'd really settled into the dismemberment groove/upgraded my weapons to make the pieces fly off a little faster.

By the end of the game it had some of my favorite base shootman feeling
