Welcome to Sweet Home. Who is stupid enough to want to preserve those shitty frescos?

Oh... it's me and the Four S-es. Yay! How delightfully alliterative.

WITH THE EXIT BLOCKED OFF, THE ONLY WAY OUT IS THROUGH. HOW TOUGH COULD A HAUNTED HOUSE BE?

And so we have: bleak, whose tool is... a lighter. I'm the designated burning man, I guess, and good at fighting.

Spinach, the expert medic of the team. She has already lifted a curse that was laid on me! Carries the First Aid kit which is by far the most frequently used tool in the game.

Starblood is the camera guy. He is the one responsible for preserving the frescos and finding the clues hidden throughout Sweet Home. Also pretty good at fighting. Starblood can die, the hints aren't necessary to win the game as far as I can tell.

Shurg is the vacuum bitch. If there is a dust on the fresco, then Starblood will command Shurg to get it off. If there is broken glass that our team doesn't want to walk over, then Shurg will suck it up so our dainty little feet won't get damaged.

Sollah is the keymaster. She is the master of unlocking. If she dies, we're all fucked. I hope that she doesn't become a jihill sandwich during the course of the adventure! Possibly the most vital tool in order to progress.

Shurg displays remarkable insight and intuition two rooms deep into the Sweet Home.

Th- the fresco! A clue! What the hell kind of whack job puts a bunch of clues in his frescos anyway?

I am easily scared.

Spinach, being both the only black person and our female medic, must take up the mantle of providing Heart power.

A helpful half-zombie gives us some cryptic clues to help us on our way! Hm, our tools are weapons? Burn bugs and blind bats with light? I think I can handle that.

Finally, I get to burn this rope! You have to burn the rope, you know. A lost soul looks on as it whispers past our oblivious party.

Yessssssss

That was awesome.

oh god what have I done

nooooooo

ah, a REAL CLUE!

AND ANOTHER ONE! Gentlemen, our heroes found a series of empty suits of armor after getting caught in several flame traps, one holding a spear, and one not holding a spear. A simple puzzle, handily trounced by the massive intellects of our party. Having done this, we trundle leisurely into the east garden, where we TURN ON THE GENERATOR! But first, we have to fight through clouds of...

EGAD! HIT THEM WITH YOUR THINGIES

AAA,... a grave? THAT'S NOT A GRAVE IT'S AN OMINOUS BLOODVOMIT ZOMBIE HEAD AND HANDS

I advise to use this palette file in that NES emulator

(Most NES emulators lets you use your own pal file)

starblood I don't have any clue how old anyone is in this game. you should have let me name you when you had the chance.

now, this is a very vibrant color palette. I hope it doesn't clash with the rest of the thread's screenshots too much.

You can replace every party member who dies in the game. At some point you will find items that does the same thing as that main item for another party member, like Emi's skill to open doors can be shared by anyone who uses the wire item. I still advice to keep everyone alive, tonics are plentiful as long as you don't waste any for stupid things. They will each full restore both pray and life points no matter what. You will need said item spaces

Party Member - Item Replacement

•Bleak/Kazuo - Matches
•Spnach/Akiko - Pills
•Strbld/Taro - Camera (Another)
•Shurgg/Asuka - Broom
•Sollah/Emi - Wire

You do get at least three wires around the mansion

And we continue on our harrowing journey. Our heroes bravely press onwards, slowly realizing the great dread that presses down upon them. They are tired, and they are scared. But they have a vacuum. And the will to go on.

A friendly face provides some much needed solace, but our respite is brief as we quickly stumble into our next obstacle.

Sticky floors. One false move and you're stuck in the thick of it until someone else can pull you out. On the table is a locked diary. We must find out what is inside, it could be a vital clue to escaping this fucking hell!

OH GOD A MAN HE IS NOT FRIENDLY, HE IS NOT LIVING

We're being attacked by the very walls themselves now. Nothing can be assumed safe in this cursed place. But, nearby, a fresco paints a picture of a grisly accident.

...

We find ourselves on the verandah. There is a note...

Fresh ink! There's someone else in the house... trying to help us!

!!

And we press on. Sollah is dragging us down! >:(

We've found the rope ladder leading down into the basement of the Mamiya mansion. Perhaps the diary key is down here? Along with yet more untold horrors of the beyond.

An extremely cryptic clue...

Another natural hazard, or is it?

More and more parts of the house are attempting to kill us. We must arm ourselves and steel our minds!

AAHHH BUMPY MANIACS! These guys hit like a ton of bricks and poison you by shooting pus out of their open sores. Fuckin' gross man.

Another cryptic clue! It also doesn't make any sense!

Navigating the basement waterways...

HEY WAIT A MINUTE SPINACH WHAT ARE YOU DOING but oh wait, that clue before!

Good job shurgg. Keep up the fantastic work.

Another clue! Perhaps we'll find a place with four stones soon.

spinach seemed none the worse for wear after drinking that blood, maybe being a medic has its advantages after all. We decide to press on past the blood flow and into the LAKE:

Well, at least we're outside the house now, so nothing will try to kill u-

AAAAHHH!! RUN AWAY!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! KILL IT KILL IT

The game sometimes tells you to be brave!! right before it attempts to scare you. What a kindly convention.

We found some boats on the lake, and a shovel, and gloves for getting through the thick brambles! Now we point our bow towards:

What's this...?

!!

We'd better check to make sure.

Perhaps this is evidence that the grave was robbed recently!

Sollah is a cold hearted keymaster with no scruples. Gang way, baby corpses! Slimegirl comin' at ya!

In addition to her amazing key wielding abilities, she is also quite an accomplished grave robber. Who knew?

Ooo. Something.

IT'S A BABY SKELE- Oh wait it's just a key. Well, we probably need that!

This motherfucker right here! He was the one what wrote that unbelievably portentous note. Cool hat, mura-san ^_^

Yeah! Basement! Wait, fuck. That sounds scary. B- but we need to get out of here, right?

Mura-san!!

Onward. And downward.

These next posts are for you.

sollah you monster ;_;

Oh, I've seen these guys before. They were only wearing a different colored shirt!

shurgg has a fragile mind.

shurgg reads a note on the floor in the fresco room. Who keeps writing these? How many other people are in this house with us?

Maybe he'll be alive by the time we find him.

...

A survivor! He w-

Oh a shovel. *backtracks for like 10 minutes*

Wraiths are similar to skeletons but less annoying. They are worse at sending your teammates away.

Here's your fucking shovel, now-- what?

Oh, god dammit.

skeletons. These guys fucking suck. They hit hard, take more than a round to kill, and they try to blow away your party members with wind. If it succeeds, then that party member gets teleported 1-2 floors away. And it sucks to have to walk back there to get them.

Agreed. But first...

Anything can happen in the Sweet Home!

We continue the desperate struggle to escape the mansion alive... after the fresco, we find another room full of skeletons.

What could have happened down here?

Could this be the work of Lady Mamiya?

Poor starblood-chan~ I never meant to make you cry.

Oh fuck christ she's killed not only her own kid but several others, WHAT IS THIS NINTENDO GAME

OH GOD NOW WE'RE IN IT TOO

spinach, woman of steel that she is, bravely braves the flames to grab the fire extinguisher and save us all. Now... that fresco

But as soon as I read this, the statue had mysteriously vanished.

Press forth into... whatever this place is. I've never seen a structure like this in my life. Precarious wooden pathways over pitch blackness. This is where they keep all their light knives and crystal balls. Regardless, now we've got the crystal ball, so now we can get past that blue flame that I forgot to take a screenshot of! And behind that door, we find...

oh god, hold me starblood

it's me you're hearing ;_;

;_;

jesus christ this game, can it be any more fucked up? (i hope so)

SOLLAH NO DON'T OPEN THOSE BABY COFFINS

AAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

SWEET HOME IS THE WORST DEAD BABY JOKE

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
