do we know how the 360 port is yet?
i'm torn; face a potential bad port or miss out on the multiplayer (again - i imported demon's and uk-asia was bad) as psn has never really worked out for me |

Japan isn't getting a 360 version, so we don't really know from them yet.
The PS3 version is having sporadic freezing every few hours, and From is working on a fix apparently. _________________ twit |

Yes.
Downsampled audio, lower-quality effects and textures, likely a small and short-lived online playerbase. The first two things were done to fit the game onto a single DVD.
It's pretty obvious that From intended the game to be a PS3 exclusive, and the Western 360 version was a contractual obligation with Bamco. I'm just going for it because it's my only option.
They did put some thought into the 360 version--party chat will be disabled to uphold the lonely game atmosphere. |

something about a freezing bug? Something that will probably be addressed by the time we get the release. Day 1 patch or whatever. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal any wades. |

Guess you'll just have stab their lungs. How have the reviews been? Spoiler-free as possible please? (I won't get to play this until Christmas, even though I've preordered a copy) _________________

Right, so apparently the game features scythes, whips, one hit kill flying guillotines and grim reaper cloaks all as items you can equip.
So tempted to either make a Belmont build or base one on this dude. _________________ site

| Advance warning to 360 players: you won't be able to read others' messages or have Phantoms invade the game without a Gold account. |

Private chat should still work. Granted, it's only one-on-one, but I have had no problems using it in games that disable party chat. _________________

| BF3 and Dark Souls means my whole next year in gaming is set. Thankfully there's 3 weeks between their releases and since I moved, I probably won't have my finances in order to afford internet and new videocard soon enough to play the BF3 beta. So Dark Souls is going to get 2 or 3 full weeks of TLC from me. |

Lower-res textures my ass, the PS3 has less VRAM, they wouldn't have that many high res textures to begin with. _________________

Thank you, Halo: Reach, for allowing me to mute people by default.
Has there been any 360 footage or screenies to see whether it's that big a deal visually? _________________

With the PS3, I'm pretty sure that install size doesn't equal the total amount of data on the disc?
There are some 360 videos out. I'm not watching them because I want to go into this completely blind, but people are saying the drop in visual quality is minimal at worst. I'd imagine you'd only notice anything if you were playing the two versions side-by-side. The downsampled sound is probably just as negligible if you don't have really good audio equipment. |

It's an emote, one of a ton of new ones. I'm not sure if they're interruptible now. _________________ twit |

guy is using a spell that essentially turns him into a chameleon, resembling statues and pots and shit
he's also wearing what looks to be the head of that boar from the E3 demo (shades of Monster Hunter?)
my god why are those other games even bothering
go home, Skyrim _________________

Why do people keep comparing this game and Skyrim.
It's like comparing Ninja Gaiden to Modern Warfare 3. They both have guys with guns in them. That's about where the similarity stops. _________________

I would rather the comparison not get made at all and we can just roll with the whole "different genres exist in videogames and that's okay" sentiment. Just because one game has a medieval dude with a sword and another game also has a medieval dude with a sword does not mean the games are similar or that stacking them against each other has a whole lot of critical merit. _________________
