The first boar's a lot more fun to fight than the later ones, since it's in an interesting arena with a variety of other threats/ways to fight it, instead of a corridor.

There's no upward limit to invasions, so a level 1 twink will always be able to invade you no matter what your level is.

Intersections with other worlds might be strongly correlated with the strength of one's soul, but proximity also plays a key role, and there are independently verified reports of invasions despite great disparity in soul-strength. (Hunger is a powerful force.)

I like to use the Sunlight Spear from a distance while my summoned phantoms are taking point. It's no good against humans, other than making them waste stamina, but works pretty well for bosses.

The flying demons right before him are really annoying, too, because they get pushed back so far by any normal hit that I have to stop and run forward between swings.

I've been playing a game recently without the key that opens up nearly every pre-Anor Londo area for the first time in a while, and realizing how much of the game is still accessible "early" to the devoted, clever or just plain stubborn player. (Without even getting into unintended skips!) Also, since I never take the front way through Blighttown these days, I had totally forgotten the route and it was really tense and annoying again! The swamp's not so bad if you actually remember to get and wear the ring that lets you move at normal speed in water! If I remember where the safe way down is, I might even go explore the bottom level of Sen's Fortress this time!

I wish I'd decided to go with something other than heavy on Dex and a katana, though. Not that it isn't fun, but it's what I seem to naturally do without really thinking about it every time I play now...
