I tried out the XMAS tree thing that someone??? Toru maybe??? mentioned.

Didn't have any homing soulmass of any kind, but I set a circle of prism stones and some goodies inside the circle and then turned into a tree. This is at the forest, in human form. When people would invade, or before even (you can see their name on people you've met before it even show's they invaded) I would psn them "MERRY XMAS!!!".

Then they would approach, apprehensively, and maybe or maybe not attack. Irregardless, my coop partner would dash out of the shadows from wherever he was choosing to hide and ambush the guy B)

My buddy is planning on getting a vidcap card so we can make a video series of our bullying antics. I think out next plan is to make some intimidating tanks that use force and wog and maybe some weapon with an AOE force type attack like dragon king or grant but I'm doubting we can meet the req's for those. Anybody know the min strength to two hand grant? I dunno I doubt it would even be good considering how unusable the force skill it has is. Maybe exert force but again kind of too difficult to use. OH RIGHT but the point of all this is to pressure the invaders into walking by the cliff and then blasting them off.

I still never beat Gwyn. I sort of tried on my first, terribly built, character. Ever since then I just haven't wanted to. I'm just building fun pvp dudes. I'm amazed that I still love the PVE though. I know that with much less play, I found myself getting kind of grossed out when I would start a new Demon's character. Just couldn't bare to see and do the exact same shit. I guess there's a lot more ways to approach Dark Souls from a fresh perspective or to revisit an old perspective but with new insight and "do it better". I'm not even sure I could go back into Demon's Souls now, and it's been forev since I played it. Anyways I suppose I really need a character to beat Gwyn with so I can actually see an ending or two.

I definitely NG+++'d in Demon's, but I don't see the point in Dark Souls. Though I WOULD like to make a sunbro lightning spear guy who uses ornstein's spear (for the lightning spear ability) and so I'm thinking I need to beat the game and dupe Gwyn's soul onto a new dude to get the best lightning spear miracle without NG+ing okay so that actually doesn't have much to do with NG+ing.

I finally have a playthrough where he'll be alive for the Gwyn fight... does summoning him for the Gwyn fight bring about any additional story for Solaire?

You would think that if he has a stake in killing Gwyn that having him help you defeat Gwyn would lead to a revelation of exactly what that stake is.

However, I imagine it's going to be no more than summoning him for any other fight... which is a bit of a let down because it's an otherwise really interesting scenario.

Solaire is obviously the most prominent NPC that you have to work to keep alive until the end and then he can join you in the final boss fight. I mean how cool is that! I can imagine the triumphant feeling of jolly cooperating with that NPC to defeat Gwyn. More so than beating Gwyn with a real person because real people aren't characters they're min maxing nerds.

Okay I've decided I'm making a Solaire Cosplay+ character tonight who will also be my lightning spear character that uses ornstein's dragonslayer spear. Solaire's body armor and helmet, as well as his shield.. but instead of his hands and legs I'll either use silver knight or something gold maybe like ornstein's depending on how ugly I deem it? All the lightning spear mircales and the sunlight blade buff miracle (which I will use on something like sunlight straightsword +15)

My main goals will be: be solaire (but better) and hang out with solaire. This will, of course, require duping if I'm going to have Solaire's gear and the best spear miracle without NG+.

My friend and I started our PvP bullies. He's going to use WoG, force, and AoE attack weapons like golem axe and the dragon weapons with specials. Well... I guess golem axe and the dragon greatsword are LoS but w/e. I'm not sure what else he has planned. My guy is going to be similar but instead of WoG I'm going to be getting dragonslayer bow or w/e it's called. Probably going to use chameleon and or fog ring and hide out... Let him get in a duel by the cliff and then dragonslay him off. Basically we're going to think of every thing we can to possibly blast guys off of cliffs. Currently my gear is: Golem Armor, 6 eyed helm of the channeler, black iron legs/arms. One handing golem axe+5 (of which I have 3.. we got a little carried away with the duping gear to speed up our character building) or 2 handing dragon king greataxe. Honestly after all the weak weapon playing I've been doing... it's nice to be able to just run up to people and power through their shield with a single swing and pummel them.



I gave my dragonslayer spear to my JP companion. It's a pretty good look!

I only wish I got more shots of my dude because he looks ridiculous (awesome). My body type is "Very Large" and my armor is mostly very large armor, but with a nice balance of rather normal arms and legs.

The bully builds we're working on are kind of versatile so we can do a lot of cool stuff with them. For most of the night I was in full dragon form doing things like comboing the dragon torso stone stunyell into the dragon greatsword 2handed r2 LoS special for a one shot kill. I wasn't matched up with my buddy but I found myself matched up with dragon dudes a lot. It's pretty fun to ambush people and dragon shout them (skyrim???) together until you get an opening. I think this will be a good way for my buddy and I to intimidate people and move them where we want them (the cliff) so we can blast them off (the cliff) with force.

I think the common thought about Solaire's obsession with the sun is that he, when he was a God, inherited the sun. So I like the idea that he has this obsession that he doesn't understand but is directly linked to his past in a way he can't really remember or explain.

From what I can tell he's a good dude and a friend to humanity. Also, I saw the "good" ending last night and I guess from reading Gwyn's Soul item description: Sounds like you "burned as ember" as Gwyn did when he kindled the first flame.. does that.. make you the new Gwyn Sunman?
