Neither Microsoft nor Sony would ever allow their customers to play with people using their competitor's system, so no.

More than anything, so far (about 30 minutes in) I just kinda feel like I vastly prefer the level-based structure of Demon's Souls more than specifically missing the Nexus. This new open world scares and confuses me. :(

Hey, I beat the Taurus Demon and ran into the red dragon again. Also met a dude who gave me that stone that lets me be summoned, and found a battle axe that I'm liking a lot better than the scimitar I started out with. Slow as it may be I am at least making some form of progress. :)

Beat the Gaping Dragon and started making my way through Blighttown yesterday. Made it to some kind of poisonous swamp, couldn't quite figure out where to go next, literally got stuck in the toxic mud and died. :/ I want to make another attempt but it might have to wait since I should be getting my copy of Arkham City today, and for the time being that'll take precedence.

Gotta say though, I'm really really starting to get into this game. 15 or so hours into it and I'm loving it. I've gotten over that initial trepidation and fear of exploring, now I feel pretty comfortable just fucking around and take things as they come. There's still that occasional jump scare or surprising boss encounter that has me shitting bricks, and it's still kind of exhausting to play, but it doesn't really feel frustrating to play. Whenever I die I'm usually quite eager to just get back into it and try not to fuck up as badly the next time.

Having way more fun with this than I ever did with Demon's Souls.

Made my way through Blighttown and to Quelaag. Died about 5 seconds after the battle started. Looking forward to figuring out how to beat her, but having spent a few hours fucking around in Blighttown (plus a quick excursion to Valley of Drakes) I feel pretty done for today.

Bought this game again after having left my old copy and my PS3 back in Sweden, and co-oped for an hour or two with a friend. It was really a shit-ton of fun (and easier by a somewhat ridiculous degree), and I really can't wait to sink my teeth into this game again (also finally getting to see more of it than just the beginning). So glad my friend coaxed me into buying another copy. :)

Coincidentally, I just found out about the existence of Dark Souls Design Works as I was browsing for artbooks at Amazon JP earlier today, and I was curious about whether it's worth getting. Gonna have to check out that video some time when I'm not already late to bed.
