Oh, crap, when I preordered this, I told it to go to my office instead of my apartment. But I don't have any reason to go into work tomorrow.
Except to get me some Dark Souls. _________________

Mine apparently shipped a couple hours ago. They still say it's showing up tomorrow. I fucking hope so! _________________

My sense of virtual space can't deal with a 3D Metrovania. I'm glad I've got two roommate bros who are a little farther ahead of me and like to hang out in the living room when I play. 'Cause I can't find shit. _________________

Yeah, my roommate is threatening to never play again after his second curse.
Capra Demon is pretty demoralizing in how whether you even get a chance is all decided in those first six seconds. I almost killed him once, and then on my subsequent three tries got killed before I even figured out where the dogs were. I'll try again in the morning.
Was loving my Drake Sword's insane superpower (R2 when double-handed), and then realized it took down 1/12 of its durability each time I used that. Helped me through that miniboss near the blacksmith, though. _________________

I was running to go fight the Capra Demon and accidentally stabbed the woman who sells... purple moss, I think? I'm not too fucked if she doesn't talk to me anymore, am I?
Kinda loving my halberd. _________________

Found myself exploring Darkroot Gardens. It surprised me that there was seemingly so little to do there! Was happy to pick up my first ring. A +40 poise seems as if it's going to come quite in handy. I'm pretty sure it helped me take out that tall knight on the tower near the Undead Parish. Moonlight Butterfly went down pretty easy, maybe being the first real Demon's/Dark Souls boss I knocked out by my fourth try.
I guess there'll be more to do in the Gardens later. Unless I just missed out on how to get into that door locked by "some contraption." But I looked pretty thoroughly, so I'm expecting something will open up there later. .
Felt pretty dumb coming back with 4000 souls and dropping off a cliff. And then dropping off another cliff fighting a really basic enemy before I could reclaim them. ;_; _________________

I angered the merchant in the tunnel connecting Fireflink and Undead Burg (by stabbing her on accident). Is there any way to apologize to her? _________________

I didn't figure out any weaknesses for the Butterfly. I just figured out how to doge its attacks, when I had time to flask, and wailed on it with my best melee weapon when it gave me the opening. _________________

I was told that the right thing to do is to quit the game immediately after making your covenant and log back in, then go talk to Shiva in Blighttown. That worked for me, and I've logged in a very happy 10 hours as a cat-friend.
Totally fucked my roommate over, though. He nearly broke the controller and threatened to never play again. Sad they didn't fix this bug in the newer patches.
Really, really suck at PVP, though. _________________

It was very disconcerting for me when I got myself a different halberd with neat new stats, but it had a different moveset than the halberd. I went back to my halberd. _________________

I've been using a halberd for about 90% of the game. I've been alternating with an uchigatana lately, and been considering making my Raw Halberd+5 into a Lightning Halberd, but it's easily got my favorite moveset. _________________

I occasionally still encounter something where my character is doing nothing and just stands still then FINALLY decides to drink an Estus flask or swing her sword at the precise wrong moment to get butchered. I don't know what causes this. _________________

I'll probably get in on PS3, but I'll be abandoning my PS3 for a year to live in Japan, so I think I'll get the PC edition for my laptop as well. _________________

I'm playing Dark Souls on my PC guys. I didn't think my desktop would like it, but it's handling it fine.
Going to mess around with bows this build. _________________

I'm playing this with minimal settings because my laptop is in the shop and my desktop has a crummy power supply that's not as good as it says it is. And I'm still struck by the visual splendor of the thing.
Being an archer is expensive, but I'm learning how to do it strategically.
Only gonna be my second complete run through the game (my magic user on PS3 never got much of anywhere after Taurus Demon).
My finger must've slipped on the D-pad and I ate a bunch of my humanity on accident.
I'm really not good at the Undead Parish. _________________

I think the game kicked me off online for a framerate issue, but then I basically got that fixed (it seems to be running a pretty steady 30 to me). It allows me to put down my white soapstone, but I don't see any summon signs and today I didn't see any messages in the Depths. Is there some way to make the game reverify your frame rate or something? _________________

I am having just a fuck of a time killing Lautrec and his buddies. I don't know how to do this smarter. I can't seem to reliably separate them from each other, like, at all. _________________

BTW, I really wish Sony wasn't the publisher for Demon's Souls so there might be a possibility of a PC port like this some day.
I finally got to the Sanctuary Guardian, and playing something new in this game is amazing. _________________

In the new stuff, I've only done the Sanctuary Guardian so far, but fighting it was a joy. Felt like pure Dark Souls. _________________

On my first playthrough, I master keyed and bypassed the majority of Blighttown. I've played it since, and I don't feel like the first playthrough was too lacking for it. _________________

Should be noted that I didn't really realize I was bypassing Blighttown when I got to the area near Quelaag. There was plenty of wonder to go around. _________________

Watched it with the sound off since I'm on a train. Looked like a p. great Souls cinematic.
Always guessed Dark Souls would've been Demon's Souls II had Sony not published the first game.
Gonna run outta Ds eventually. Nip it in the bud.
This is the most beautiful thing that exists in my future (I hope). _________________

They're not my favorite words, but let's not wring our hands too hard. Not until we see something from how the game plays at the very least.
I'm bummed Miyazaki isn't directing, and I hope From is giving him something worth taking him away from primary responsibility for this game.
But no matter how they're taking the game, they probably want to at least make it sound more accessible to sell it to the people who were scared away by the last game. _________________

I was going to murder my very first NPC in cold blood last night because I wanted her armor, but I hesitated, took a walk, and then she was gone. _________________

Been playing a magic-user and have been trying to keep it leveled around the same place as a lot of my friends who are going through the game again so we can bro-op with each other. Was trying to catch up by beating Gargoyles around levle 20, intending to do a summon. About twelve summons failed, and then I got invaded. Invader put an egg on my head after I got a backstab in. I should've realized this invader was a filthy cheater and Alt-F4'd right there, but as I was actually significantly better at landing attacks and the invader consumed 3 humanity. I thought it'd be fun to persevere. After probably about five or ten minutes, the invader stood still, swung their weapon, and cursed me instantly.
Done with this character for now.
Rerolled a sorcerer and got it up to level 21 and beat the gargoyles within an hour. I've gotten better at Dark Souls and it's good feeling. _________________

Anyone have any idea what level it's best to summon/get summoned for Manus? I'm playing PC at level 77 and I can't get nothing. _________________

If you need help with Sanctuary Guardian still and can summon a level 77, I'd be happy to help luvcraft.

I often do the reciprocal bow thing. But I only initiate it if I'm safely out of range.
Recently, I was invaded while clumsily fighting the clams outside Seath's little area. Guy came right up and stabbed me while I couldn't even see him. I went down. Motherfucker had the cheek to bow over my corpse. _________________
