| While that's very impressive on technical merits, I really hope that they can fix the juddering that occurs whenever they walk anywhere. It makes watching the video an uncomfortable experience. |

Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru, or For the Frog the Bell Tolls has you take on the role of the impetuous but good-natured Prince of Sable. As the Prince, you must save Princess Tiramisu and the desert and frog themed land of Mille-Feuille from the evil Lord Delarin…and do before your rival, the valiant Prince Richard, beats you to it.
Gameplay is a mix of platforming action and simple RPG elements. The engine for this game went on to be used for Link’s Awakening, and many plot elements were borrowed for later Zelda games. |
Pretty excited that this translation is done. |
Sweet! I've been wanting to play this since I saw a little two screen preview in the import/game cocktease section of Nintendo Power. |
Feeling a bit of an idiot right now, but: is there actually a download link for the patch anywhere on that page?
edit: ...it's the version number (1.0 at the time of writing). Gotta say, that's kind of terrible web design! |

| I find the 3DS slider cradle thingum rather questionable. If a second analog input is necessary (say, for camera control / mouselook equivalent) it's really not hard to map that to the touch screen. I'm guessing it's a band-aid fix for original model 3DSes and Nintendo is going to unveil a full redesign at their not-a-TGS-show-honest show next week. |

| I can't imagine many people rushing out to by an airline baggage check simulator, but stranger things have been turned into addictive puzzle games (see: Boxlife). I do wonder if at some point they'd consider splitting these up and selling them as separate 3DSware titles. |

He's apparently going to work on smaller game projects rather than being a PM / producer for practically everything Nintendo makes. Probably a good thing. |

| Not surprising, though. Wasn't the PSP's v1.0 firmware perfectly willing to run anything you put on the memory card, signed or otherwise? Unfortunately I'm sure they will have closed the more obvious holes by the time it launches in the US. |
