Have this on PSN and a 4pack from Steam, have yet to play it outside of an awkward demo. Is this the kind of game I can tear through the story in a weekend?

Do you have to have mics when you play this game? How coordinated do you have to be? Are random games good to play? Are you really OP at level 50 compared to level 1? I don't know much about PD2 except it's "dark souls diablo l4d heat".
