Juri is the only character, ever, in a Street Fighter game that felt right when I played. I've played every other character, but for some reason, when I play Juri, everything just flows. I've never top 8'ed in a tourney, but I have top 16'ed (granted I've never gone to EVO or any big tourneys). For me it is entirely about the feel, and to be honest, until I started playing Juri, I wasn't all that enthused about SSF4 at all.
To be honest, though I've always enjoyed the fighting game and arcade scenes, I never had a character that flowed well with my play style. Juri has a kind of tricky poke style that's really great, and aggressive wake-ups that move forward rather than upward. I also play her a bit differently in that I don't store her fireballs (which is both an advantage in that it's unexpected but disadvantageous in my predictability). _________________

It's kind of surprising how worldwide Starcraft 2 is compared to its predecessor. I'm not really sure what the facilitator was for so much renewed enthusiasm for videogames as a competitive enterprise, but I'm sure happy to see it. _________________

Always pulling for Toss players. They were so janky in the first game that it's good to see them being extremely competitive. _________________

Yeah, that was rather ugly. Don't think I've seen a TvZ end quite so quickly. _________________

This entire setup is so on the cheap it's hilarious. Doesn't matter to me though, listening to Genki Sudo while watching. _________________

I'm kind of the opinion that the maps which are stupidly close shouldn't be allowed, simply because they make the play so heavily focused on rushdown (which only makes it worse when so much of the game is rush-centric as it is). _________________

Yeah, they should talk to some of the Street Fighter guys, because at least the last two big tourneys I've seen (ReveLAtions and Shadowloo Showdown) have been exceptionally well-organized. I expect EVO to be similarly well-organized. _________________

Toss are probably the worst at rushing, and it's damn near impossible to sneak a proxy pylon in against a decent player. So yeah, assuming Zerg rush doesn't succeed, we'll have a match. _________________

Sheth took a really unnecessary risk with that all-in push. Did he honestly think psychic storm wouldn't ruin an army like that? _________________

he didn't have a choice. he was sitting on 200/200 against a toss with low income. he needed to smash that gold, he just couldn't do it because he didn't throw away the army quick enough for a tech swap. a timing loss. |
He had a ton of Mutas and multiple open bases, I can't really agree with that. _________________
