For one, it seems that my charger is dead. I'm using someone else's. But the problem is, when my computer is off, it charges the battery up no problem. But when it's on, even though it's plugged in, it drains the battery instead of using the local current.

Any ideas? I've got all kinds of work to finish and this isn't making it easy.

Remove the battery and see if the laptop will run straight from the charger.
