It's the cover of an Akira Kurasawa film. I see it all the time now at this rental store I go to. It was instant recognition when I first saw it, too and I made the connection because Shaper is a huge Kurasawa fan if memory serves correctly.
I should watch more Akira Kurasawa.

Seriously, though, it Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well, which is a really good film. I love the spartan style of the cover (avatar) and felt it goes well with the forum theme.

Yes, you should. I recommend going with The Hidden Fortress if you're new to Kurosawa as it's very easy to get into and enjoy.

Hell's Angels was Thompson's breakout book, it's not so gonzo and it's more straight journalism but it's still pretty crazy. Good read, I recommend it.

I'd say it was gonzo, since he was writing things for dramatic effect and pretty much begging the Hells Angels to go along with it so he could include it without writing fiction. The ending actually occured, but only because Thompson wouldn't stop whining about the ending he needed for his book.
And the Hells Angels don't use apostrophes in their name. Any edition of the book that includes the apostrophe was the result of an overzelaous editor.

I Googled "Jack Frost Megami Tensei" and found it here. It's fanart, and a different artist did the loli than did the Jack Frost. |
