"she's not just an avatar she's my girlfriend" is my favorite Shins song.

I like your current avatar, Tim. It conveys a sense of childlike joy and enthusiasm without seeming pedo. It's "genki"!

Tim, I love your avatar. And now knowing her age, I feel totally justified in wanting to bone her.

Anyway.. I gotta slip in a vote for whoever is using the Diddy-Bjork phone conversation gif.

Also, I hated Gutstank's black zombie gif... that shit made me sick! :(

Man, I would never make my girlfriend my avatar on principle. The "I don't want to look lame" principle.

You do get mega bonus points though for not making your huge-breasted model ex-girlfriend your avatar, though. That's pretty irresistable but you didn't capitalize. I applaud your stoicism in that case, sir.

I loved Les Meat's last avatar of Dr. Lucien Sanchez, but I hate his new one of the PSOne being put in a bad. It repeats too fast and is very very distracting.

Wearing a Nixon pin, is that like how the Hells Angels and bikers in the 60's would wear Swastikas?

Just to shock people? Yeah I read that Hunter Thompson book too.

But nah, I love Nixon, only half-ironically.

There's something so sweeping and epic and ballsy about him that's tarnished by the paranoia and criminality, but hell, least he didn't start the Vietnam war (like Kennedy).

He was not a good man, but he was a great man. I have made my life something of a study of great men - of nobility!

anyway it's freakin cool just havin tricky dick's face on your bag

PEACE - PROGRESS - PROSPERITY

NIXON FOR PRESIDENT

gotta love it.

I never read that book.

But I have seen pictures and movies about bikers in the 60s, who wore swastikas.

It was inevitable that someone start it since America decided to take an antagonistic relationship with any and all left countries. Rigorous Adherance to the Domino Theory pretty much guaranteed that some president would have fought in Indo China at some point. Not to let Kennedy off the hook, but putting the Vietnam War on his shoulders is shortsighted. Nixon didn't exactly have a good track record on the conflict, himself.

I'll sell her a Front 242 Work 242 tour t-shirt for ridiculous amounts of money. It's a little frayed around the edges. I also have a Dead or Alive concert t-shirt, but NOBODY's gettin' that. I wonder what happened to that Cure concert t-shirt I had...

yeah, see, i would imagine an HMV in england doesn't sell the actual vintage real t-shirts that were sold back in like 1978.

she also has a vintage sex pistols shirt which is apparently worth something like $2,000.

Hell's Angels was Thompson's breakout book, it's not so gonzo and it's more straight journalism but it's still pretty crazy. Good read, I recommend it.

Yah sure, but Kennedy did it in about the worst way possible: supporting the humongously corrupt "democratically elected" and wildly unpopular regime installed in Seoul out of a feeling of Catholic solidarity that would have been absent given any other president. We failed "winning hearts and minds" before we were even fighting anybody.

Still though, you're mostly right.

I will re-rail it by suggesting that you get an avatar, so that we can begin loudly voicing our opinions about it. Based on your username, I humbly recommend some sort of screencap from "Soy Cuba", the movie with the most amazing long takes EVAR. Maybe part of this image.

Also expressing my support for butters's Panda Z avatar, but recommending that he crop it so that it's taller than it is wide.

Although it would be impossible to top the "3" shirt you made for me, I think the jellyfish would be pretty sweet. I've got a sort of pink-ish uniqlo shirt that it would probably work pretty well with (I think I was buying it when we met up).

I did this with the bg color being the shirt color, and how it would probably look without using white:
