so yeah whoever designed dead men's respite must've been a demon's souls fan! you even get a blue phantom buddy to help you through it and with the boss battle!
also the two-handed sword decapitation never gets old. especially when someone is mid-sentence. _________________

| does the melee get better? i just started playing and have so far only been using magic because hitting a dude in the face with my sword had the basic feeling of slapping someone with a wet fish. |
If you put in enough points than everyone dies after a single hit except for mini-bosses so uh
It gets 'better' in that you don't have to spend a lot of time with it. |
also you get a Totally Extreme slow motion decapitation attack that makes me think i'm playing fallout 3 (oops)
actually sort of a fan of the cinematic run through you get with the two-handed swords. _________________

hey guys if you make hundreds of iron daggers apparently it teaches you enough about smithing to craft demonic armor from the darkest reaches of hell.
(lol)
seriously i've got the market cornered on iron daggers over here.
also finally said "fuck it" in regards to my companion. this is probably the third time she's just disappeared for no reason. last time i found her back at the bar in whiterun but this time, no such luck. just going to stick to the horse at this point i guess.
was stalking a woolly mammoth earlier and saw it shoot off into the stratosphere. bethesda physics are the best physics. _________________

| I finally found a reasonable system for grinding out those smithing and enchantment points. Basically just make shitty daggers in mass and then enchant them with banishment and even with a petty soul gem their value goes up to like 2k. Makes buying ingots and ore affordable and, in fact, I make money. |
whoa knew about the first one there but not the second. thanks bro! _________________

Companions only die if you deliver the killing blow, accidentally or otherwise.
Thing is, it's really easy to accidentally kill them.
I already killed my dog and didn't realize it until several quicksaves and about 2 hours later. :( |
this isn't quite accurate. companions can still die if they are dealt enough damage while in their weakened state. i've seen companions die from getting smashed by a giant without me touching them. _________________

| the worst part is that the fascist elf dominion and the big fight with the empire is a much more interesting setting/giant event to play a game in than 'bunch of white people want independence from white people for poorly established reasons.' |
not to mention the whole crackdown on talos worship smacks of a ham-fisted attempt at a christian allegory. "you can worship any god you choose. talos was a man and you cannot worship a man."
oh please. _________________

This game sucks. I have nothing else to play, and I feel pot committed, but every time I boot it up, I play for less and less time.
The people who say they "love" Skyrim -- do they finish the game? And if so, why? I don't even feel like there's a story in this world. |
i thought you had dark souls? _________________
