Unless, you know, you don't want to.

edit: Not the best picture (from my terrible exacting about pictures of knives POV) because I didn't have a camera when I finished it and then it bounced up to a young lady in Canada who took several months finally getting around to photographing it for me.

If you vomit your vomit could count as something you made for the purposes of this thread.

One summer I had a couch to sleep on but I slept on the floor in front of it instead.

Up there I felt so exposed, you know?

Joe I found your abrasive composition strangely soothing in my current state of exhaustion +too much prescription cough syrup.

Churippu that is a pretty fine looking lamp.

I would suggest decorating ideas but whatever came to mind would probably not result in a lamp appopriate for a lady.

Now, a knife with a terrible sheath.

Does it involve MORE CURVES?!

Well I'm not sure. I haven't given it much thought yet.

I thought it would be best that I not try to think of anything for fear of the results.

I mean who hasn't experimented with a few crazy whale-looking clawish knives when they're in college right? :(

Smartblue that is an excellent mirror, fully exploiting my weaknesses for both the bronze and the wood.

You have some fine taste in thing you assisted in constructing?

I could post another knife every time it threatens to disappear.

I have a limited number of knives. :(

Thanks! But the further I go back through my limited output the more terrifying and generally bad said output becomes.

Also I've given away most everything I've made that is 'good,' frequently failing to photograph it before it went.

...

I am enjoying this review of the works of everyone's hands.

Cutting ability sacrificed for aesthetics:

Easily the manliest knife ever made for men:

edit: really, I think it would be Pyramid Head's second choice.

Have you seen that movie with Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro? Del Toro made a pretty manly knife in that one. Sadly, it wasn't enough to finish Tommy off.

I remember watching that movie going "YEAH MAKING THEIR WEAPONS TO KILL EACH OTHER LIKE MEN YEAH!!!" but then I thought about the time frame involved and realized it was kind of stupid and cried. :(

..also Benicio would have totally had to find some natural abrasives to sharpen up his knife no matter how close he forged to the edge and the leaf spring he used would probably shatter when he stuck it in water to harden it.

I think I have a problem. :(

That is marvelous.

Sometimes I think I should have tool storage that isn't "pile, sometimes in drawers".

Maybe if I had a place to keep them that wasn't a lean-to.

how do you guys go about making knives anyways? Namely the blade.

I.. get appropriate scrap metal, heat it in a forge, and pound it violently to shape?

Then I heat it again and perform appropriate heat treatment.

File and/or grind as needed.
