One of the best interactions with characters in half life 2 was when I was in that building that gets stormed by combine soldiers early on and I was looking through a hole in the floor zoomed in and just watching a woman solace this man who was having a hard time coping with their situation. every 20 or 30 seconds he would say something to express his grief, and she would just keep her arm around him or maybe utter some words of support.

I'm saving my second playthrough for the release on the 360 in the hopes that it will run smoother and load more quickly than it does on my pc. If I need a quick HL2 fix, I usually play through Lost Coast.

I don't understand how the infinite ammo crates are reality breaking? The surreality of it could only be exposed if you sat at a crate firing off missiles for a half an hour. It's not like those crates couldn't hold enough ammo to last you as long as they generally do, and I wouldn't have even noticed if the crates had been set with a large, finite amount of ammo instead.
