John McTiernan has been released from jail and this is likely to be his next project.

RIP Alain Resnais.

Was active at 91 and had a film that premiered at Berlin last month (Life of Riley).

Watched Wes Anderson's new pic the other day, The Grand Budapest Hotel. It still features the same father-son relationship issues that seem to be a running thing in his work, but it's a very enjoyable romp which seems to go by at a lightning pace, and a lot less lingering shots than other works of his. Ralph Fiennes is suprisingly funny throughout.

They're resurrecting paul walker for fast 7 with cgi. I guess it'll be like the dire straights money for nothing video. They might as well just add steve mcqueen and bruce lee to the team while they're at it.

Note: The following consideration of female sexuality in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac was written by a heterosexual, cisgender, white male. The author proceeds, sensitive to his complicity in many of the issues discussed herein, and with the slight consolation that he has about as much right commenting on issues of feminism and female sexuality as Lars Von Trier has making a movie about them.

Nymphomaniac is so important it requires dweeby prefaces before crtics can attempt to review it

Gareth Evans wrote:
This is one of a few deleted scenes taken from the film. Reasons to cut were entirely down to pacing issues. This was probably the hardest for me to cut due to the fact that the production on this scene lasted around 6 days of shooting, it cost us a fuck load to make and it served to escalate the gang war out onto the streets involving people outside of the closed off inter-gang politics.

At the end of the day though, after discussing its worth it took us away from the central theme for a little too long with characters that would only exist in this scene alone.

Whenever I edit a film - every scene feels like a precious moment. "No fucking way can I cut this" is a regular phrase I utter at Aram (one of the producers at XYZ Films who patiently worked with me to get the film to it's final cut) but his patience was always a virtue and it's when you make a cut and no longer miss it from the bigger picture a few days down the line that you realise it was the right decision to make.

But I still want you guys to see the chaos and the mayhem we had in store, and so with the release of the film coming in a few days time - here's a sample of one of the action scenes that simply didn't make it.

Enjoy.

I was always confused by this so I looked it up and it's only the american cut that has linkin park guy doing music, the one I watched was some pirated not-america cut.

Quote:
The exhilarating debut novel by iconic filmmaker David Cronenberg: the story of two journalists whose entanglement in a French philosopher's death becomes a surreal journey into global conspiracy.

Stylish and camera-obsessed, Naomi and Nathan thrive on the yellow journalism of the social-media age. They are lovers and competitors—nomadic freelancers in pursuit of sensation and depravity, encountering each other only in airport hotels and browser windows.

Naomi finds herself drawn to the headlines surrounding Célestine and Aristide Arosteguy, Marxist philosophers and sexual libertines. Célestine has been found dead and mutilated in her Paris apartment. Aristide has disappeared. Police suspect him of killing her and consuming parts of her body. With the help of an eccentric graduate student named Hervé Blomqvist, Naomi sets off in pursuit of Aristide. As she delves deeper into Célestine and Aristide's lives, disturbing details emerge about their sex life—which included trysts with Hervé and others. Can Naomi trust Hervé to help her?

Nathan, meanwhile, is in Budapest photographing the controversial work of an unlicensed surgeon named Zoltán Molnár, once sought by Interpol for organ trafficking. After sleeping with one of Molnár's patients, Nathan contracts a rare STD called Roiphe's. Nathan then travels to Toronto, determined to meet the man who discovered the syndrome. Dr. Barry Roiphe, Nathan learns, now studies his own adult daughter, whose bizarre behavior masks a devastating secret.

These parallel narratives become entwined in a gripping, dreamlike plot that involves geopolitics, 3-D printing, North Korea, the Cannes Film Festival, cancer, and, in an incredible number of varieties, sex. Consumed is an exuberant, provocative debut novel from one of the world's leading film directors.

A Million Ways To Die in the West looks awful and I'm genuinely incredulous a vanity project written directed and acted by Seth MacFarlane was green lit. I know people still like Family Guy somewhere, but this project should have died the moment a studio exec saw MacFarlane's ugly face and wooden acting.
