I dunno. I read the original articles around it and it's a really fucked up story of murder and torture and people involved are still alive. The two protagonists are currently on Florida's death row and scheduled to be executed in the next year, even. Making a swole-bro-co out of it feels really distant from the subject matter and somewhat ghastly unless they designed the trailer to really play down the dark nature of the film and it gets a lot more tonally consistent in the actual film itself as a pitch-black comedy.
Of course, it's Micheal Bay so ghastly is an option but I'm not quite feeling it unless Bay suddenly developed an urge to out Coen the Coen's. _________________
