| Presumably the "tears" in space/time that can be used by Corset Woman. That was a cool little shock at the end of a trailer which had me thinking "well played, Levine". |

As discussed in the shooter topic, Rising Star Games is opening a US branch. Their first release will be Akai Katana, some time in the second quarter of 2012. Big news to Cave fans, but on a larger level this is pretty significant for anyone who cares about companies focusing on localization of Japanese games. RSG is now firmly in competition with Atlus, Xseed, Aksys and the like.
They're also opening a digital division, to specialize in XBLA, PSN, iOS, Android, and Steam releases. |

Rayman Origins coming to PC at reduced price and DRM free
Also turns out people started buying it once it slipped down in price. It placed 9th in the British charts this week after a number of places had it at £15-20.
What is it with Ubi-Soft and dumb pricing decisions. Same thing happened with POP Sands Of Time years back... _________________

But I thought Ubisoft had seen a proven decrease in piracy since they started stacking on 30 levels of DRM with each of their PC games! _________________

I don't know if you saw my post on the previous page or not, but Ubi is releasing two 2 year-old $5 iOs games on the Vita for $40 each. _________________

I will absolutely get Akai Katana if they release it to the PC. Given Cave's penchant for iPhone though, I'm not holding my breath. _________________

I'd like to know too, because all of the effects in that scene have been done by other games. |

Maybe he's talking about special effects in the sense of the character Elizabeth's ability to instantiate bits and pieces of realities from alternate universes? Because, yeah, that probably is the most interesting thing about the game. _________________

That's not a special effect and it's less than a gameplay feature. _________________

I wasn't trying to redefine anything but rather merely taking a guess as to what Iacus might have meant by his statement but whatevs. _________________

| Sorry, I haven't watched videos or payed much attention to this, it sounds like maybe the street kind of ends half way down because the area beyond isn't spacially contiguous with it... if so that is sort of interesting, i've wished many times for more unreality in 3D games. |

I will buy this. Maybe they'll even have a moment of lucidity and do something with creation tools, considering the original concept of the entire game was to be a set of creation tools. throw in the platformer revival on the PC (in the indie scene) and all that, seems like a good idea. |

Yeah, maybe they should stop doing that.
The Witcher 2 got an Enhanced Edition announced much like the first one did (though that one was pretty much a necessity considering how broken the original was).
| Quote: |
New major adventures set in new locations. These consist of an underground system of chambers beneath Loc Muine and a temperate coniferous forest in the Loc Muine mountains, and a secret cave passage. These new adventures will add several hours of story-based gameplay to the game.
New major characters to the Witcher story. One of them is Brigida Papebrock Dame. This noble woman comes from the Temerian family Papebrock and is a 30 year old lady-in-waiting of the Temerian court. The other characters are secret--for now!
All new animations and cut scenes, including a new, three and a half minute pre-rendered cinematic depicting the assassination of King Demavend of Aedirn. BAFTA Award winner and Academy Award nominee Tomasz Baginski brings this key historical event to life, setting the stage for the story told in The Witcher 2. |
It will be released for free for people who already own a copy of the PC version, and will constitute the 360 release. Both have been announced for April 17th.

So Keiji Inafune is working for Idea Factory now. How far the mighty have fallen.

| I'm just hoping it doesn't devolve into corridor hopping while fighting methodical lines of people acting like zombies with a shitty combat engine. which it will. or else there will be too much assassin's creed style nonsense. |

I thought they were already on IOS before? Are they just upscaling it/using the Wii version or something?
I wonder if Ace Attorney 5 will return to Phoenix or continue whathisface's story.
Also I wish they brought over Edgeworth 2 :/ _________________

Yeah, the original Dark Reign was actually a pretty great game.
Why XBLIG though? That's like the least sensible place to put it up. _________________ twit |

cautiously excited, but the pessimist in me wonders if they'll even port it over here since they didn't do the same with the 2nd edgeworth game. :\ _________________
