Nintendo revealed that the Wii U Gamepad can be used for 3 hours continuously and recharge in 2 hours. The battery is replaceable.
Holy shit.
This can't be right
Wouldn't really surprise me. They want you to plug it in every time you're done playing. my new 3DS yells at me every time I've played Mario 3D Land for more than 30 minutes at a time (which is surprisingly not that often; it's a well-paced game for being turned off every 20 minutes).

They've been claiming this since the original big weekend reveal before E3, it was just hidden away on the Japanese site (along with the "another one costs ~150 bucks" thing)
I see this being a big deal mostly for extended sessions or rooms with a lack of outlets. Otherwise, I'm not too concerned. They have other issues, not like still not quite figuring out online (look, it's great that you're doing unified IDs, but then why would you make it dependent on what developers want to do with it). _________________
Kaneda: I don't believe we did a complete run-through of every stage in our playtesting, did we?
Miyoshi: For bug checking, we preferred to let the person who designed the stage see if he could clear it or not, so you become a specialist regarding your own stage. But since each stage was checked individually, with each person saying "its all good!" if they could clear their own stage, I don't know if anybody checked it all from stage 1...?
Kaneda: I don't think any of us even could. (laughs)
Miyoshi: I remember someone bug checked the complete playthrough by credit feeding.

As an R-TYPER I can only say - yeah, it feels that way. _________________
In shocking news, someone revealed a game for Vita.
In case you don't want to watch the decidedly annoying trailer it looks to be one of them first person dungeon crawls. Except with
CHAINGUN SYRINGE MERMAID NURSE DEMONS!(!)
I played the new Giana Sisters briefly, it seemed decent. It's got a pretty nice feel to it, and the movement and world-flipping mechanics seem to have potential for quite a bit of fun. I frankly haven't played it nearly enough to say whether it's worth a purchase, but first impressions were pretty positive.
PlayStation devotees who purchased God of War Saga for PlayStation 3 received a special 30-day PlayStation Plus voucher, which encouraged them to redeem on November 13th for exclusive access to the God of War: Ascension Beta.
Please note that the Beta will not be available today on the PlayStation Store. Development on Ascension and its exciting multiplayer content continues at a feverish pace, and an announcement regarding a Beta launch date is forthcoming.
If you are not currently a PlayStation Plus user and were planning to use the voucher included with the God of War Saga in order to access the PS Plus Ascension Beta, please do not redeem your voucher until the as-of-yet unannounced launch date. This will ensure that the 30-day PS Plus trial will afford you as many days of access to the Beta as possible.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding the Ascension Beta, and thank you for your ongoing support of the God of War series!

Why didn't they just provide you a code to download the eventual beta itself like everyone else does for their yet-to-arrive content? Heck, I'm pretty sure Sony themselves have done it.

Straight beta codes don't have the potential to turn into a monthly fee. _________________
Man I would be interested in that if I liked Wizardy like games! WAHP says Elminage is the best of the bunch right? One of them anyways? I would love to be interested in these late PSP releases but they are all of genres I completely don't care about.
Wish Ramiro had told me about this. Ah well. Backing in any case. Hope it succeeds so Joust and these other games can finally have proper releases! _________________
