raw dogg numbers and squares only rpg from the cursor 10 guy

http://nekogames.jp/g.html?gid=PRM

just kind of the elements of a progression curve by themselves

it is fun to play again to get your strategies down but i wish there were more missions/games whatever

Actually yeah that's pretty good.

Still not 100% sure how to reliably fill up the blue bar under your stats though

Keep collecting the drops before an invisible timer (couple seconds) runs out. You can fill it around the midway point by hitting up a finished encounter repeatedly.

This is alright. It could use a few more elements than "figure out best strategy then click everywhere really fast" though. It would help if the layout was randomized instead of fixed.

Feels like it's trying to make a statement about videogames but fails by being fun.

I tried to speedrun it. There's no point, every strategy takes precisely 14 minutes. Leveling evenly, trying to save the bonuses for later, going full attack in the level ups and buying the defense, leveling evenly, leveling the regeneration once I can take the 200+ enemies for the x2 bonus, using level ups to heal instead of leveling the regenration... Any combination of those strategies takes precisely 14 minutes.

Well, looks like the developer can do it in 5 minutes. Might depend on some undocumented secret, or luck with letters, though.

My current thinking is that you can safely skip some mid-game enemies and make it to the end in a bit less time.

I really hoped winning would unlock a new grid or do something but it didn't.

Still was pretty engaging nonetheless.

also the best times might involve getting the slot machine as fast as possible. like most videogames it's completely broken and you always make more money than you spend by just clicking furiously.

Don't think I can do better than that without being lucky or changing my strategy.

Protips so far:
- Start scum to unlock the $ bonus. Don't consume it ASAP, it won't disappear and scales with lvl.
- Use horizontal boxes to increase the blue gauge, vertical to cash in: horizontal requires less ACT
- Filling the blue gauge increases payout a little I think
- Only level up to heal from previous fight
- Vertical enemies deal more damage. A horizontal one with more HP might be less dangerous.
- My strat: Put about 80pts to atk, then get rcv to 30, then atk again. Around lv 30 consume the $ bonus. Use the money only to buy defense. Always buy from the cheapest.
- To kill 752, get to the point you're almost gonna level up. Whack it until low HP, then level up for the healing. Finish it off
- Level up RCV as much as possible then consume the RCV*2 bonus
- Attack the TLB, heal with the Life Rcv. box.

Oh wait the TLB isn't actually the TLB. Just the TL mandatory B.

Okay how do you know what all this stuff even is please?

I started to understand that clicking certain boxes gives me money that I could use to buy upgrades that helped me deplete the yellow boxes. I did some of that until the very last one that appeared after the 700something one... you know, the one that has multiple life bars >:[ Needless to say my time was exponentially longer than yours, youpi. Also I won at the slot machine twice and filled up the blue bar twice. (where are my achievements???)

I think this is a good idea, though I wish they had removed any resemblance to actual combat. No sword/shield icon, for example. I really like the idea of taking the core mechanics of what might make, say, an RPG fun - but place those mechanics in a realm that has nothing to do with combat... because really the combat is just an aesthetic element to dress up the core mechanics and give them drama.

Once you realize it's an action game it's much easier.

Basically if you're levelling up for any reason besides passing time while you heal you're playing your cards wrong.

Also I beat the game before lv 40 no need for slots.

I wanted to try something similar with "Choose your own adventure" type games/books, but in that case I think that removing too much context made it too abstract. So using Brian Moriarty's Perlenspiel I made this prototype which I think could work? I'll try a longer story, as this one was made during breakfast (including coding the, hmm, engine.)

I've seen this legit superplay as a related video to mine:

Feeling way proud I figured out the proper pro strategy. Show it done with a lot more balls and starcraft dexterity in 2:50.91.

I spent nearly 40 minutes trying to unlock all those stupid chests, and I still couldn't get the last one

I think I have a problem, especially since I cleared the game in 22 minutes

It's from the Falcom J.D.K. Band albums 1 and 3, some songs are from Brandish 2 and the other I don't remember because everything Falcom is on my TODO/SOMEDAY/MAYBE/I GUESS/CAN I EVEN DECIPHER ENOUGH JP YET ANYWAY list

I believe my value as a man is strongly correlated to how many excuses I feel I must make for the contents of these albums (none because they are clearly the best).
