Basketball is a pretty good source of crossovers. Even if we go for only over the top games that still brings in a lot of things

Like Isiah Thomas by himself is in say both NBA JAMs, NBA Street Volume 2, NBA Street Volume 3

That's Mario, Shaq, Jordan, Barkley, Magic, Bird, Bill Clinton etc

Then a layer down Ready 2 Rumble, Space Jam, Crusin USA

Then another layer down All Looney tunes games/Tiny Toons games etc

The trick is finding which direction is fastest

You could go from Ulala to Michael Jackson to Ready to Rumble to Shaq with similar results

The most iconic character, yes. Because rarely does an entire video game cast overlap between crossovers, so using just one character in both titles is a more accurate connection.

Hey, if DOA gets into the mix then we are just a hair away from a Halo connection! It's too bad the SPARTAN in DOA4 never appears in a proper Halo game. I guess we can always hope for a future in-joke.

the cast of itadaki street series includes final fantasy and dragon quest characters so we can probably skip mario 3 on 3 hoops as a crossover point but it should still stay on as a note

you can use slime/jessica as a dragon quest crossover they are in all the dragon quest themed itadaki street games including the mario one and cloud strife is in the dq/ff themed one so perhaps he can be the nexus in the particular case

i think that changes the rankings unless you want to count the mario/dq itadaki as seperate from the ff/dq itadaki instead of counting them as a series

Kratos is #2 because he was also in Hot Shots Golf along with Toro in the PS3 game. That's an amazing jump.
